Algeria .. Prevent businessman Ali Haddad from leaving the country and placed under house arrest
Algerian media reported that businessman Ali Haddad, close to the brother of President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, was prevented from leaving the country and placed under house arrest due to an audio leak attributed to him, vowing to suppress the demonstrators.
She added that President Abdelaziz Bouteflika declared his property in a document published by the government newspaper "Mujahid".
On Saturday, media reported the return of Bouteflika to the country after a treatment trip in Geneva.
The General Secretariat of the Constitutional Council of Algeria, closed the middle of the night of Sunday, the third of March, the doors to receive requests for candidates for presidential elections.
Candidate Abdelaziz Bouteflika is expected to submit his candidacy for the presidential election on Sunday (March 3rd), amid rival campaigns for the outgoing president to run for a fifth term.

أفادت وسائل إعلام جزائرية بمنع رجل الأعمال علي حداد المقرب من شقيق الرئيس عبدالعزيز بوتفليقة من مغادرة البلاد، ووضعه تحت الإقامة الجبرية بسبب تسريب صوتي منسوب له يتوعد فيه بقمع المتظاهرين.
وأضافت أن الرئيس عبدالعزيز بوتفليقة صرح بممتلكاته في وثيقة نشرتها صحيفة “المجاهد” الحكومية.
وكانت وسائل إعلام تناقلت، السبت، أنباء عن عودة بوتفليقة إلى البلاد بعد رحلة علاجية في جنيف.
وتغلق الأمانة العامة للمجلس الدستوري الجزائري، منتصف ليل الأحد الثالث من مارس، أبوابها أمام تلقي طلبات المرشحين لانتخابات رئاسة الجمهورية.
ومن المفترض أن يقدم المرشح عبدالعزيز بوتفلیقة ملف ترشحه للانتخابات الرئاسیة، الأحد 03 مارس، وسط مسیرات مناھضة لترشح الرئیس المنتھیة ولايته بوتفلیقة لعھدة خامسة.
وقالت مصادر لـ”العربية” في وقت سابق اليوم إن الرئاسة الجزائرية ستعلن عن قرارات هامة خلال ساعات.
كما كشفت مصادر جزائرية متطابقة عن أن تعديلا حكومیا وشیكا سيعلن عنه خلال الساعات المقبلة، سیكون الأوسع على الإطلاق والأكبر من نوعه.
