Pope Francis' visit to the UAE will begin today.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has welcomed the visit to the United Arab Emirates by Pope Francis, Head of the Catholic Church, beginning tomorrow.
"We welcome the visit of Pope Francis, Head of the Catholic Church, to the UAE. We, as UAE leadership and people, are looking forward to this historic visit that will contribute to underpinning the values of tolerance, peaceful co-existence, encounter, and cultural exchange," said Sheikh Mohammed in a statement marking the occasion.
"Over five decades since its establishment, the UAE has been promoting the values of love, security, acceptance, freedom of religion and respect of others," he added.

رحب صاحب السمو الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم ، نائب رئيس الدولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء حاكم دبي ، بدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة ، بزيارة دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة من قبل البابا فرانسيس ، رئيس الكنيسة الكاثوليكية ، ابتداءً من يوم غد.
"نحن نرحب بزيارة البابا فرانسيس ، رئيس الكنيسة الكاثوليكية ، إلى دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة ، ونحن ، كشعب وقيادة دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة ، نتطلع إلى هذه الزيارة التاريخية التي ستساهم في تعزيز قيم التسامح والتعايش السلمي واللقاء وقال الشيخ محمد في بيان بمناسبة المناسبة "التبادل الثقافي".
وأضاف "على مدى خمسة عقود منذ إنشائها ، تعزز الإمارات قيم الحب ، والأمن ، والقبول ، وحرية الدين ، واحترام الآخرين".
