Despite the increasing conflict and persecution we see intensifying throughout the world, God is at work in a powerful way. In fact, we hear stories from around the world of people—in the midst of the tension—coming to Christ. People like Maizah*... 
Maizah will never forget the night she was crying in her room when she felt someone touch her feet. Looking up, she saw a man shining like light, and felt happiness in His presence. 
"I am the Way, the Truth and the Life," the man said. Then He was gone. 
Two weeks later, war broke out in Libya, Maizah's home country. Maizah and her family fled to Egypt, and there Maizah met a Christian woman who began telling her about Jesus. 
When Maizah told the woman about the man in her room, the woman opened her Bible to the Book of John and showed Maizah the words of Jesus. To her astonishment, Maizah read the words the "man shining like light" had spoken to her. 
I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. 
In Libya, Christians must worship in secret. Those who are discovered often suffer brutal persecution. 
Maizah gave her heart to Jesus after encountering His words in the Bible. She would go through more ordeals because of her faith, but reading her Bible has kept her faith strong: 
"It was Jesus who talked to me all the time through the Bible," she says. 
Maizah's story is just one of thousands I could share with you of persecuted believers in desperate need of the truth and comfort of Scripture as they grow in their faith. That’s why your help is critically needed.
