The Egyptian Interior Ministry said yesterday that the security forces killed 16 "terrorists" in two separate operations in the city of Arish, the capital of North Sinai province, which is witnessing extensive security confrontations with elements belonging to the organization calling the terrorist. The statement pointed out that an exchange of fire took place during the raids, without mentioning the deaths or injuries among the security forces.
Security and medical sources said the bodies of the dead were taken to more than one hospital in the city of Ismailia for autopsy and identification of the owners.
The Sinai clashes, a day after the killing of a "terrorist" and three policemen were chasing him on Monday evening, in the neighborhood of Darb al-Ahmar near Al-Azhar mosque in the capital Cairo, after an explosive device was in possession.
A security source said that the attack occurred during the move of a joint mission of the officers of the Security Directorate of Cairo and the National Security Forces, to arrest a terrorist behind Al-Azhar mosque in the area of Darb Al-Ahmar, pointing out that the terrorist blew himself up with a bomb as soon as security.

قالت وزارة الداخلية المصرية، أمس، إن قوات الأمن قتلت 16 «إرهابيا» في عمليتين منفصلتين بمدينة العريش عاصمة محافظة شمال سيناء، التي تشهد مواجهات أمنية واسعة مع عناصر تنتمي لتنظيم داعش الإرهابي. جاء ذلك غداة مقتل ثلاثة شرطيين، بينهم ضابط برتبة مقدم، في تفجير انتحاري بالقاهرة، قالت الوزارة إنه وقع خلال محاولة القبض على «إرهابي» تبين أنه يحمل عبوة ناسفة.
وتشهد مصر منذ عزل الرئيس الأسبق محمد مرسي عام 2013، هجمات إرهابية، تستهدف بصورة أساسية قوات الجيش والشرطة، أسفرت عن مقتل المئات. وتنحصر معظم تلك الهجمات في شمال شبه جزيرة سيناء، إلا أن بعضها طال العاصمة القاهرة ومدناً أخرى.
وقالت الداخلية المصرية في بيان أمس إن «قطاع الأمن الوطني بوزارة الداخلية تمكن من رصد بؤرتين إرهابيتين خططتا لتنفيذ سلسلة من العمليات الإرهابية ضد المنشآت المهمة والحيوية وشخصيات مهمة بنطاق مدينة العريش». وأوضح بيان الوزارة أن عشرة من القتلى سقطوا في مداهمة الشرطة لمنزل مهجور في حي العبيدات بالعريش، بينما قتل الستة الآخرون في مداهمة الشرطة لمنزل تحت الإنشاء في منطقة أبو عيطة بالمدينة.
وتابع أنه تم العثور بحوزتهم على «كثير من الأسلحة النارية والذخائر والعبوات والأحزمة الناسفة».
وأوضح البيان أن تبادلا لإطلاق النار وقع خلال المداهمتين، دون الإشارة إلى سقوط قتلى أو مصابين في صفوف قوات الأمن.
وقالت مصادر أمنية وطبية إن جثث القتلى نقلت إلى أكثر من مستشفى بمدينة الإسماعيلية لتشريحها وتحديد هويات أصحابها.
وجاءت مواجهات سيناء، بعد يوم من مقتل «إرهابي» و3 شرطيين كانوا يلاحقونه مساء أول من أمس (الاثنين)، في حي الدرب الأحمر بالقرب من الجامع الأزهر بالعاصمة القاهرة، وذلك بعد انفجار عبوة ناسفة كانت بحوزته.
وأوضح مصدر أمني أن الهجوم وقع أثناء تحرك مأمورية مشتركة من ضباط مديرية أمن القاهرة وقوات الأمن الوطني، لضبط إرهابي خلف الجامع الأزهر بمنطقة الدرب الأحمر، مشيرا إلى أن الإرهابي قام بتفجير نفسه بقنبلة بمجرد إمساك الأمن به.
وذكرت الداخلية المصرية، أن قوات الأمن كانت في مهمة بحث وتتبع لمرتكب واقعة إلقاء عبوة بدائية الصنع استهدفت قوة ارتكاز أمني في ميدان الجيزة، يوم الجمعة الماضي، وأن التحريات حددت مكان الإرهابي، ويدعى «الحسن عبد الله» بالقرب من منطقة الدرب الأحمر.
وأضاف: «قامت أفراد الشرطة بمحاصرة الإرهابي، وأثناء ضبطه وإلقاء القبض عليه، انفجرت إحدى العبوات الناسفة التي كان يحملها على ظهره، ما أسفر عن مقتله، وسقوط ضحايا وجرحى من الشرطة المصرية».
وأوضحت الداخلية أن ثلاثة من رجال الشرطة المصرية، قتلوا في الانفجار، بينهم ضابط برتبة مقدم توفي متأثرا بإصابته. في حين أصيب ثلاثة ضباط وثلاثة مدنيين أحدهم طالب تايلاندي.
وبحسب مقطع فيديو مأخوذ من كاميرات المراقبة في المنطقة، فإن شخصا يرتدي قناعا طبيا على وجهه ويستقل دراجة، قام بالضغط على سترته عندما اقترب منه شرطيان حاولا القبض عليه فوقع الانفجار على الفور.
ووفقا لمعلومات أمنية، فإن الإرهابي الحسن عبد الله (37 عاما)، هو نجل طبيب أطفال كان قد هاجر إلى الولايات المتحدة، قبل 25 عاماً، معروف بـ«التشدد الديني»، حيث انتقل معه ابنه إلى أميركا، قبل أن يرحل الحسن إلى فرنسا ومنها إلى مصر مجدداً قبل قرابة 3 أعوام.
وقال شهود عيان إن الابن كان يبيع أسطوانات الغاز ويتنقل بواسطة دراجة، وكان يرتدي أقنعة طبية أحيانا. وقالت مصادر أمنية إنه «عُثر في مسكنه بمنطقة الدرب الأحمر على عبوة ناسفة أخرى موصولة بجهاز توقيت وقامت بتفكيكها، وكذلك كمية كبيرة من المتفجرات لتصنيع القنابل».
وأمر النائب العام المستشار نبيل صادق بتشكيل فريق من النيابة العامة؛ لفتح تحقيق عاجل في الحادث. فيما أكدت وزارة الآثار أن الانفجار لم يؤثر على أي من المواقع الأثرية بالمنطقة. وأشارت الوزارة إلى أنه فور الإبلاغ بوقوع الانفجار تم التأكد من سلامة المباني الأثرية من قبل مفتشي الآثار بالمنطقة، خاصة أن منطقة الدرب الأحمر والأزهر من أشهر معالم القاهرة التاريخية ومن أهم المناطق في مصر الزاخرة بالآثار الإسلامية.
بدوره، ندد الأزهر بالتفجير، مشيدا بنجاح رجال الشرطة المصرية في عملية الملاحقة والكشف عن الإرهابي. كما أكد الدكتور شوقي علام، مفتي الديار المصرية، أن الجماعات الإرهابية يقلقها ما وصلت إليه مصر من استقرار، وتسعى لزعزعة الأمن، منددا بوقوع الهجوم الإرهابي بالقرب من الجامع الأزهر بعد محاولة فاشلة لزرع عبوة ناسفة.
وأدان الدكتور محمد مختار جمعة وزير الأوقاف الحادث الإرهابي، مؤكدا أن «الإسلام بريء من كل تلك الأعمال الإجرامية، وأن من يقدم على سفك دماء الأبرياء بتفجير نفسه منتحرا يعجل بنفسه إلى غضب الله».
ونوه زعيم الأغلبية بالبرلمان ورئيس ائتلاف دعم مصر الدكتور عبد الهادي القصبي، إلى «أهمية دور جهاز الشرطة، الذي لاحق الإرهابي»، وأكد أنه «يؤكد يقظة الأجهزة الأمنية وتتبعها له ومحاولة القبض عليه».
وأدانت السفارة الأميركية الحادث الإرهابي، مؤكدة أن الولايات المتحدة تقف مع مصر ضد الإرهاب والتطرف. وقالت السفارة، في بيان، إنها «تدين بشكل لا لبس فيه الحادث الإرهابي الذي وقع في القاهرة»، مضيفا أن «السفارة الأميركية تشجب جميع أشكال الإرهاب وتكرم ضبّاط الشرطة الشجعان الذين ضحوا بحياتهم لحماية مواطنيهم».
من ناحية أخرى، عبر مصدر مسؤول بوزارة الخارجية السعودية، في بيان أمس عن «إدانة المملكة واستنكارها الشديدين للانفجار الذي وقع في منطقة الدرب الأحمر بالعاصمة المصرية القاهرة، مخلفاً عدداً من القتلى والجرحى». وجدد المصدر «رفض المملكة القاطع لهذه الأعمال الإرهابية الآثمة».
كما أدانت وزارة الخارجية البحرينية، الهجوم الإرهابي، مؤكدة تضامن البحرين مع مصر في حربها ضد الإرهاب، ورفضها التام لما يتعلق بأمنها واستقرارها.
