Iranian president vows ‘revenge for the blood of these martyrs’ after bombing kills 27 members of elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps
TEHRAN — Iran’s parliament speaker said Sunday that an attack that killed 27 members of the Islamic Republic’s elite Revolutionary Guard was “planned and carried out from inside Pakistan,” which he said should answer for it.
Ali Larijani’s remarks, carried by the state-run IRNA news agency, came after Iranian officials initially accused Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates of being behind the attack. The Gulf Arab states are deeply suspicious of Tehran and at war with Iran-aligned rebels in Yemen.
At a funeral Friday, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Ali Jafari claimed, without providing evidence, that the United States and Israel ordered Saudi Arabia and the Emirates to carry out the attack, which also wounded 12.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry summoned Pakistan’s ambassador on Sunday to protest the attack.
Pakistan condemned Wednesday’s attack and its foreign minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, spoke with his Iranian counterpart, Mohammad Javad Zarif, by phone on Sunday to assure him that Pakistan would fully cooperate in the investigation, according to two government officials who spoke on condition of anonymity, as they were not authorized to brief media.
The militant Sunni group Jaish al-Adl, which claimed responsibility, is believed to operate from havens in neighboring Pakistan.
The head of Iran’s powerful Revolutionary Guard, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Ali Jafari, on Saturday accused Pakistan’s security forces of supporting the militants and said Iran expects it to “punish” them.
Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani meanwhile vowed “revenge for the blood of these martyrs,” in remarks broadcast Sunday on state TV.
“They cannot escape God’s and Iranian people’s vengeance,” Rouhani said.
Pakistan is closely allied with Saudi Arabia but has tried to maintain a balancing act between Riyadh and Tehran. Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman began a visit to Pakistan Sunday after delaying his arrival by one day without providing an explanation.

الرئيس الإيراني يتعهد "بالثأر لدماء هؤلاء الشهداء" بعد أن قُتل 27 من عناصر النخبة في الحرس الثوري الإسلامي
قال رئيس البرلمان الإيراني الأحد إن الهجوم الذي أودى بحياة 27 من أعضاء الحرس الثوري للجمهورية الإسلامية "تم التخطيط له وتنفيذه من داخل باكستان" وهو ما قال إنه يجب أن يجيب عليه.
وجاءت تصريحات علي لاريجاني التي نقلتها وكالة أنباء الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية التي تديرها الدولة بعد أن اتهم المسؤولون الإيرانيون في البداية المملكة العربية السعودية والإمارات العربية المتحدة بالوقوف وراء الهجوم. وتشكك دول الخليج العربية بشدة في طهران وفي حربها مع المتمردين الموالين لإيران في اليمن.
في جنازة الجمعة ، ادّعى اللواء محمد علي جعفري ، دون تقديم أدلة ، أن الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل أمرتا السعودية والإمارات بتنفيذ الهجوم ، الذي أدى أيضاً إلى جرح 12 آخرين.
واستدعت وزارة الخارجية الايرانية سفير باكستان يوم الاحد للاحتجاج على الهجوم.
وأدانت باكستان الهجوم الذي وقع يوم الاربعاء وتحدث وزير خارجيتها شاه محمود قريشي مع نظيره الايراني محمد جواد ظريف عبر الهاتف يوم الاحد ليؤكد له ان باكستان ستتعاون بشكل كامل في التحقيق وفقا لمسؤولين حكوميين تحدثا بشرط عدم الكشف عن هويتهما. لأنهم غير مخولين بإطلاع وسائل الإعلام
ويعتقد أن الجماعة السنية المتشددة جيش العدل التي أعلنت مسؤوليتها تعمل من ملاجئ في باكستان المجاورة.
واتهم رئيس الحرس الثوري الإيراني القوي الميجر جنرال محمد علي جعفري يوم السبت قوات الأمن الباكستانية بدعم المتشددين وقال إن إيران تتوقع أن "تعاقبهم".
وفي الوقت نفسه تعهد الرئيس الإيراني حسن روحاني "بالانتقام لدماء هؤلاء الشهداء" ، وذلك في تصريحات أذاعها التلفزيون الرسمي يوم الأحد.
وقال روحاني "لا يمكنهم أن يفلتوا من انتقام شعب الله وإيران."

وباكستان متحالفة بشكل وثيق مع السعودية لكنها حاولت الحفاظ على توازن بين الرياض وطهران. بدأ ولي العهد السعودي الأمير محمد بن سلمان زيارته لباكستان الأحد بعد تأخير وصوله بيوم واحد دون تقديم تفسير.
