US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Sunday that the Venezuelan people have made the days of President Nicolas Maduro in power "numbered".
The foreign minister added that the Trump administration would take sustained measures to pressure Nicholas Maduro's regime in Venezuela until the besieged leader understood that his "days are numbered."
"We will do the things that need to be done to make sure that the voice of the Venezuelan people, that democracy will prevail, and that there is a brighter future for the people of Venezuela," Pompeo said in an interview with Fox News Sunday.
The US diplomat said President Trump's administration would continue to support opposition leader Juan Guido and promote a global coalition to support his claim as interim leader of the country.
He also referred to the efforts of the United States to obtain humanitarian assistance in Venezuela.
Pompeiro said President Trump and senior administration officials said "all options are on the table" and refused to rule out the possibility of using military force.

Bolton threatens to "hold accountable" Venezuelan military
US security adviser John Bolton has warned the military in Venezuela of blocking the humanitarian aid campaign that Washington intends to deliver to the country starting on Friday, and threatened to prosecute.
"Colombia renewed on Friday an invitation from the Lima Group of the Venezuelan armed forces not to block the delivery channels of humanitarian aid," Bolton said on Friday on Twitter, "Those who obey Maduro's orders to use violence will be held accountable."
The United States plans to move a batch of humanitarian aid to Venezuela on Friday, while authorities in Caracas said they would not accept those cargoes that did not agree to be connected and closed the maritime border with three islands of the Netherlands in the Caribbean, one of the island of Curacao, American cargo on its territory.
Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guido, who was appointed interim president a month ago, pledged that aid would be brought into the country "by land, by sea and by sea," despite government opposition.

قال وزير الخارجية الأمريكي مايك بومبيو، يوم الأحد، إن الشعب الفنزويلي جعل أيام الرئيس نيكولاس مادورو في السلطة "معدودة".
وأضاف وزير الخارجية أن إدارة ترامب ستتخذ إجراءات مستمرة للضغط على نظام نيكولاس مادورو في فنزويلا إلى أن يفهم الزعيم المحاصر أن "أيامه معدودة".
وتابع بومبيو قائلا خلال حوار مع برنامج "فوكس نيوز صنداي": "سنفعل الأشياء التي يجب القيام بها للتأكد من أن صوت الشعب الفنزويلي، وأن الديمقراطية سوف تسود، وأن هناك مستقبلا أكثر إشراقا لشعب فنزويلا".
وأفاد الديبلوماسي الأمريكي بأن إدارة الرئيس ترامب ستواصل دعم زعيم المعارضة خوان غوايدو وتعزيز إئتلاف عالمي لدعم مطالبته كزعيم مؤقت للبلاد.
كما أشار إلى الجهود التي تبذلها الولايات المتحدة للحصول على مساعدات إنسانية في فنزويلا.
وصرح بومبيو بأن الرئيس ترامب وكبار المسؤولين في الإدارة قالوا إن "كل الخيارات مطروحة على الطاولة" ورفض استبعاد إمكانية استخدام القوة العسكرية.

بولتون يهدد بـ"محاسبة" عسكريي فنزويلا
حذر مستشار الأمن القومي الأمريكي جون بولتون العسكريين في فنزويلا من عرقلة حملة المساعدات الإنسانية التي تعتزم واشنطن إيصالها للبلاد بدءا من غد الجمعة، وهددهم بالملاحقة.
وغرد بولتون اليوم الجمعة على حسابه في "تويتر": "جددت كولومبيا أمس دعوة وجهتها مجموعة ليما للقوات المسلحة الفنزويلية بعدم عرقلة قنوات توصيل المساعدات الإنسانية. إن أولئك الذين يطيعون أوامر مادورو القاضية باستخدام العنف سيتحملون المسؤولية".
وتخطط الولايات المتحدة لنقل دفعة من مساعداتها الإنسانية لفنزويلا يوم غد الجمعة، فيما أعلنت السلطات في كاراكاس أنها لن تقبل تلك الحمولات التي لم توافق على توصيلها وأغلقت الحدود البحرية مع 3 جزر تابعة لهولندا في البحر الكاريبي، إحداها جزيرة كوراساو، بعدما وافقت سلطات الجزيرة على تخزين الحمولات الأمريكية على أراضيها.
وكان زعيم المعارضة الفنزويلية خوان غوايدو الذي نصب نفسه قبل شهر رئيسا انتقاليا للبلاد، تعهد بأن المساعدات سيتم إدخالها في البلاد "برا وجوا وبحرا"، رغم معارضة الحكومة.
