أظهرت دراسة أعدّها باحثون في معهد "آي دبليو اتش" في هالي شرق ​ألمانيا​، أنّ "خروج ​بريطانيا​ من ​الاتحاد الأوروبي​ (​بريكست​) بدون اتفاق يمكن أن يؤدّي إلى فقدان 600 ألف شخص وظائفهم في العالم، وأنّ ألمانيا ستكون الأكثر تضرّرًا".
وبيّن الباحثون، أنّ "نحو 103 آلاف وظيفة ستصبح مهدّدة في ألمانيا، أكبر اقتصاد أوروبي، و50 ألفًا في ​فرنسا​"، لافتين إلى أنّ "التأثّر بـ"بريكست" لا يعني بالضرورة الاستغناء عن الموظفين".
وأوضحوا أنّ "نظرًا لنقص العمالة الماهرة في العديد من الدول المتقدّمة، فإنّ الشركات قد تحاول الاحتفاظ بالموظفين من خلال خفض ساعات العمل أو فتح أسواق جديدة".
