Sudanese Defense Minister sends a firm message to Mr. Bashir
Sudanese Minister of Defense and Vice President Awad Ben Awf on Sunday (February 24th) sent a firm message in the presence of Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, who was wearing military uniform.
The Sudanese president attended a session that saw the inauguration of the defense minister as vice president and the inauguration of the new prime minister, Mohamed Tahir Ela.
The Sudanese Minister of Defense addressed his letter to Bashir, in which he thanked Bashir for this mandate.
The Sudanese Defense Minister said: "We seek to cross the ship Sudan to safety, after the difficulties experienced."
"Sudan is currently at an exceptional stage. Everyone needs awareness, wisdom, determination and determination, and we will never hesitate to do so."

Sudan has been witnessing almost daily protests since December 19, initially triggered by price increases and a lack of liquidity but soon developed into protests against Bashir's three-decade rule.
Activists say about 60 people have been killed in the protests, while official figures have killed 32 people, including three security men.
Sudan is experiencing increasing economic difficulties with the inflation rate approaching 70% and the decline of the Sudanese pound against the US dollar and other foreign currencies.

وأعلن البشير، أمس الجمعة، أنه فرض حالة الطوارئ لمدة عام واحد في البلاد، وحل حكومة الوفاق الوطني، وكذلك حكومات الولايات، وتشكيل حكومة كفاءات لاتخاذ تدابير اقتصادية صعبة. وتعهد بإجراء "تحقيقات شفافة حول القتلى الذين سقطوا خلال الاحتجاجات". وأفادت وكالة الأنباء السودانية، أن "البشير أصدر مراسيم جمهورية بحل مجلس الوزراء القومي وتكليف وزراء وأمناء عامين وإعفاء ولاة ولايات وحل الحكومات الولائية".
وتعهد البشير بإجراء "تحقيقات شفافة حول القتلى الذين سقطوا خلال الاحتجاجات".

كما قال إن القوات المسلحة ستظل حامية وضامنة للاستقرار في السودان.    
ودعا كذلك الرئيس السوداني، القوى السياسية المعارضة بالانضمام إلى وثيقة الحوار، وكذلك حاملي السلاح إلى الانضمام إلى العملية السياسية والحوار.
وأعلن أيضا البشير فرض حالة الطوارئ في كل أنحاء البلاد لمدة عام.

ويشهد السودان احتجاجات شبه يومية منذ 19 ديسمبر/ كانون الأول، تفجرت في بادئ الأمر بسبب زيادات في الأسعار ونقص في السيولة لكن سرعان ما تطورت إلى احتجاجات ضد حكم البشير القائم منذ ثلاثة عقود.
ويقول نشطاء إن نحو 60 شخصا قتلوا في الاحتجاجات بينما تشير الأرقام الرسمية إلى مقتل 32 شخصا منهم ثلاثة من رجال الأمن.

ويشهد السودان صعوبات اقتصادية متزايدة مع بلوغ نسبة التضخم نحو 70% وتراجع سعر الجنيه السوداني مقابل الدولار الأمريكي وسائر العملات الأجنبية.
