The sources, who spoke to Asharq Al-Awsat on condition of anonymity, said that "if this summit is held, it will include a number of Arab countries whose leaders will attend the Islamic Summit, which will bring together principles and visions consistent with regional and international developments."

السعودية ودول خليجية توافق على إعادة انتشار القوات الأمريكية
وافقت السعودية وعدد من دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي، اليوم السبت، على طلب من الولايات المتحدة لإعادة انتشار قواتها العسكرية في مياه الخليج العربي، وعلى أراضي دول خليجية.
وقالت مصادر خليجية مطلعة لصحيفة “الشرق الأوسط”، إن الموافقة جاءت بناء على اتفاقات ثنائية بين الولايات المتحدة من جهة، ودول خليجية من جهة أخرى، حيث يهدف الاتفاق الخليجي – الأمريكي إلى ردع إيران عن أي اعتداءات محتملة قد تصدر منها، بفعل “سلوكياتها المزعزعة لأمن المنطقة واستقرارها”.
وأكدت المصادر نفسها أن الدافع الأول لإعادة انتشار القوات الأمريكية في دول الخليج هو القيام بعمل مشترك بين واشنطن والعواصم الخليجية، لردع إيران عن أي محاولة لتصعيد الموقف عسكريا ومهاجمة دول الخليج أو مصالح الولايات المتحدة في المنطقة، وليس الدخول في حرب معها.
وكشفت مصادر دبلوماسية عربية عن “اتصالات مكثفة تجري حاليا بين عدد من العواصم العربية من أجل التجهيز لعقد قمة عربية محدودة، على هامش القمة الإسلامية التي تشهدها مكة المكرمة في العشر الأواخر من شهر رمضان”.
وصرحت المصادر التي تحدثت إلى “الشرق الأوسط” بشرط عدم الإفصاح عن هويتها، بأن “هذه القمة في حال عقدها، ستضم عددا من الدول العربية التي سيحضر قادتها القمة الإسلامية، والتي تجمعها مبادئ ورؤى منسجمة حيال التطورات الإقليمية والدولية”.
تركز الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، على خلفية تفاقم الوضع مع إيران، في الخليج العربي، وقامت بإرسال سبع سفن حربية على الأقل بقيادة حاملة الطائرات “أبراهام لينكولن”
وتشمل القوة البحرية العسكرية الأمريكية حاملة الطائرات “يو إس إس أبراهام لينكولن”، وسفينة “يو إس إس ليتي جولف”، وسفينة “يو إس إس باينبريدغ”، وسفينة “يو إس إس نيتز” و”يو إس إس ماسون”.
بالإضافة إلى مدمرتين من طراز “آرلي بورك” مزودة بأسلحة صاروخية موجهة يمكنها حمل 90 صاروخ “توماهوك” وصواريخ أخرى.

وأضافت الصحيفة نقلا عن مصادر مطلعة على الطلب الأمريكي إن "الموافقة جاءت بناء على اتفاقات ثنائية بين الولايات المتحدة ودول خليجية" مشيرة إلى أن "الاتفاق الخليجي — الأمريكي يهدف إلى ردع إيران عن أي اعتداءات محتملة قد تصدر منها، بفعل سلوكياتها المزعزعة لأمن المنطقة واستقرارها".
وتابعت الصحيفة أن "الدافع الأول لإعادة انتشار القوات الأمريكية في دول الخليج هو القيام بعمل مشترك بين واشنطن والعواصم الخليجية، لردع إيران عن أي محاولة لتصعيد الموقف عسكريا ومهاجمة دول الخليج أو مصالح الولايات المتحدة في المنطقة، وليس الدخول في حرب معها".
هذا وتشهد منطقة الخليج حالياً شداً وتجاذباً بالتصريحات بين إيران والولايات المتحدة، التي تتهم طهران بزعزعة الاستقرار في المنطقة، متهمة إياها بدعم منظمات إرهابية والتدخل في شؤون دول المنطقة. وأرسلت الإدارة الأمريكية حاملة طائرات ترافقها مجموعة سفن حربية إلى المنطقة وطائرات استراتيجية من طراز "بي 52"، في الوقت الذي هددت فيه إيران بإغلاق مضيق هرمز في حال منعت من تصدير النفط من خلاله إلى دول العالم.
وأبلغت إيران، في وقت سابق، سفراء بريطانيا وفرنسا وألمانيا والصين وروسيا، بقرار المجلس الأعلى للأمن القومي الإيراني "بالتوقف عن تنفيذ التزامات معينة"، ضمن إطار الاتفاق حول البرنامج النووي. ومنح الرئيس الإيراني حسن روحاني الدول الأوروبية 60 يوما لإثبات التزامها بالاتفاق النووي مع بلاده.
