Greenblatt sends a letter to the Authority regarding the deal of the century ... and Erekat responds
The US envoy to the Middle East sent a letter to the Palestinian Authority on the deal of the century, saying that the Authority can not reject any offer to the Palestinians.
Through his Twitter account, the Century Deal engineer said not to impede the workshop that will take place in Bahrain next month would provide the Palestinians with an opportunity to test the effects of the US initiative, in reference to the peace plan known as the Century Deal.
"Hosting the conference in Bahrain, or at least not hindering it, would provide the Palestinians with the opportunity to test the full implications of the initiative ... The Palestinian leadership can not continue to reject everything presented to them."
Greenblatt attached a link from The Jordan Times that included the phrase "the Palestinian Authority pours cold water on the Bahrain workshop for fear of being part of the deal of the century."
The attached article also included an invitation to the Palestinian Authority to see how the United States proposal for peace between Israelis and Palestinians would look.
"Welcoming the conference in Bahrain, or at least not hindering it, would provide the Palestinians with an opportunity to test the full impact of the initiative. The life of the Palestinian economy in itself can not be so bad. The Palestinian leadership can not continue to say "no" to everything presented to them before studying the full implications.
In a related context, the PLO Executive Committee Secretary Saeb Erekat responded to Greenblatt's message, saying that everything presented to the Palestinians was incomplete.
Erekat said, through his Twitter account: "The Palestinians have been subjected to incomplete autonomy, incomplete local governance, incomplete economic peace, incomplete prosperity, incomplete religious rights, incomplete civil rights, incomplete power." Palestinians.

وجه مبعوث الرئيس الأمريكي إلى الشرق الأوسط، رسالة إلى السلطة الفلسطينية حول صفقة القرن، قائلًا إنه لا يمكن للسلطة أن ترفض كل عرض يقدم إلى الفلسطينيين.
وعبر حسابه على تويتر، قال مهندس صفقة القرن إن عدم إعاقة ورشة العمل التي ستحدث في البحرين الشهر المقبل من شأنه أن يوفر للفلسطينيين فرصة لاختبار آثار المبادرة الأمريكية، في إشارة إلى خطة السلام المعروفة باسم صفقة القرن.
“إن استضافة المؤتمر في البحرين، أو على الأقل عدم إعاقة ذلك، من شأنه أن يوفر للفلسطينيين الفرصة لاختبار الآثار الكاملة للمبادرة … لا يمكن للقيادة الفلسطينية أن تستمر في رفض كل شيء معروض عليهم”.
وأرفق غرينبلات رابطًا من موقع “ذا جوردان تايمز” احتوى على عبارة “السلطة الفلسطينية تسكب الماء البارد على ورشة البحرين خوفًا من أن تكون جزءًا من صفقة القرن”.
كما تضمنت المقالة المرفقة دعوة إلى السلطة الفلسطينية للاطلاع على الشكل الذي سيبدو عليه اقتراح الولايات المتحدة حول السلام بين الإسرائيليين والفلسطينيين.
واختتمت المقالة بالقول: “إن الترحيب بالمؤتمر في البحرين، أو على الأقل عدم إعاقة ذلك، من شأنه أن يوفر للفلسطينيين فرصة لاختبار الآثار الكاملة للمبادرة. لا يمكن أن يكون بث الحياة في الاقتصاد الفلسطيني الهامد في حد ذاته سيئًا للغاية. لا يمكن للقيادة الفلسطينية أن تستمر في قول “لا” لكل شيء معروض عليهم قبل دراسة الآثار الكاملة”.
وفي سياق متصل، رد أمين سر اللجنة التنفيذية لمنظمة التحرير صائب عريقات على رسالة غرينبلات، قائلًا بأن كل ما عرض على الفلسطينيين كان ناقصًا.
وقال عريقات، عبر حسابه على تويتر: “عرض على على الفلسطينين حكم ذاتي ناقص، حكم محلي ناقص، سلام اقتصادي ناقص، ازدهار ناقص، حقوق دينية ناقصة، حقوق مدنية ناقصة، سلطة ناقصة”، مشيرًا إلى أن الاحتلال هو الشيء الوحيد الزائد المعروض على الفلسطينيين.

وختم عريقات تغريدته قائلًا: “هل هناك عروض أخرى أضعناها؟!”.
