وجاء ذلك بعدما تحدثت الإدارة الأمريكية عن خطط إيرانية محتملة لشن هجمات على أهداف أمريكية في المنطقة. ووفقا لواشنطن، فإن الهجمات ربما تستهدف مصالح أمريكية في باب المندب، وفي كل من العراق والكويت، فضلا عن استهداف قواعد ودبلوماسيين.
الحرس الثوري الإيراني: الوجود العسكري الأمريكي في الخليج أصبح فرصة

وأضاف زادة "حاملة الطائرات الأمريكية التي تمتلك على متنها 40 لـ 50 مقاتلة حربية و6 آلاف عنصر كانت في السابق تهديد لنا واليوم أصبحت فرصة"، مؤكدا "التموضع الأمريكي بكل أشكاله في المنطقة كان في السابق تهديدا لنا واليوم أصبح فرصة".
وكان قائد الحرس الثوري الإيراني اللواء حسين سلامي، قال إن الولايات المتحدة لا تملك القدرة أو الجرأة على شن حرب على إيران، وإن حاملات الطائرات الأمريكية ليست محصنة.

ونقلت الوكالة عن عضو البرلمان محمد علي بورمختار، قوله إن اللواء سلامي أكد أن "إرسال حاملة طائرات أمريكية إلى المنطقة ليس سوى حرب نفسية، تسعى أمريكا من ورائها لتخويف الشعب وبعض المسؤولين العسكريين من وقوع الحرب".
