أعلنت قيادة تحالف "قوات سوريا الديمقراطية"، الذي يشكل المقاتلون الأكراد عمودها الفقري، عن سعيها للتوصل إلى "حلول وتفاهمات" مع تركيا وعزمها دعم إقامة المنطقة الآمنة شمال سوريا.
وقالت قيادة "قسد"، في بيان أصدرته اليوم الأربعاء ونشرته على موقعها الرسمي: "إن قواتنا، قوات سوريا الديمقراطية ( SDF ) ومنذ تأسيسها وحتى تاريخه، بذلت كل الجهود في إطار مهمة محاربة الإرهاب المتمثل بتنظيم داعش، وغيره من التنظيمات الراديكالية الإرهابية، وحققنا نجاحات باهرة وكبيرة في هذه المهمة الصعبة والشاقة، وذلك بالعمل والتنسيق مع شركائنا في التحالف الدولي الذي تقوده الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية".
وأضافت قيادة "قسد": "في هذه الأثناء، وعلى الدوام، كانت مهمة حماية جميع مكونات منطقة شمال وشمال شرق سوريا تسير على أكمل وجه، وتعتبر إحدى مهامنا الأساسية، ونكاد نؤكد أن منطقتنا هي المنطقة الوحيدة التي تتعايش فيها كل المكونات السورية، ولم نشكل عامل تهديد خارجي ضد أي من دول الجوار وخاصة تركيا، التي نتطلع و نأمل للوصول إلى تفاهمات وحلول معها تؤمن استمرار الاستقرار والأمن في المناطق الحدودية معها".
وختم البيان بالقول: "إننا في قوات سوريا الديمقراطية، سنقدم كل الدعم والمساعدة اللازمة لتشكيل المنطقة الآمنة التي يتم تداولها حول شمال وشمال شرق سوريا، بما يضمن حماية كل الإثنيات والأعراق المتعايشة من مخاطر الإبادة، وذلك بضمانات دولية، تؤكد حماية مكونات المنطقة وترسخ عوامل الأمان والاستقرار فيها، وتضمن منع التدخل الخارجي بها".
وأصدرت قيادة "قسد" هذا البيان في الوقت الذي تستعد تركيا لشن عملية عسكرية واسعة ستكون الـ3 لها في شمال سوريا تستهدف من تصفهم بالإرهابيين من "وحدات حماية الشعب" الكردية، التي تمثل الهيكل الأساسي لـ"قوات سوريا الديمقراطية"، الحليف الأكبر للولايات المتحدة في محاربة تنظيم "داعش" على الأرض السورية.   
وأعلنت الولايات المتحدة في 19 ديسمبر الماضي بدء انسحاب قواتها من سوريا، لكنها أكدت مرارا ضرورة منع استهداف حلفائها الأكراد على يد تركيا، التي هددها الرئيس الأمريكي، دونالد ترامب، بتدميرها اقتصاديا حال ضربها "وحدات حماية الشعب".
وذكر الرئيس التركي، رجب طيب أردوغان، أمس الثلاثاء، أنه توصل مع ترامب خلال اتصال هاتفي جرى بينهما الاثنين إلى تفاهم حول إنشاء منطقة آمنة في شمال سوريا لمنع التصعيد في المنطقة.
أردوغان: سنتخذ قريبا خطوات ضرورية للحفاظ على وحدة أراضي سوريا
أعلن الرئيس التركي، رجب طيب أردوغان، أن بلاده ستتخذ قريبا "خطوات ضرورية" للحفاظ على وحدة أراضي سوريا، مشيرا إلى أن أنقرة لن تطلب إذنا من أي جهة لمحاربة "الإرهابيين".
وقال أردوغان، في مقال كتبه لصحيفة "كوميرسانت" الروسية نشر اليوم الثلاثاء: "نحتفظ بالحق في استهداف الإرهابيين الذين يهددون بلدنا من الأراضي السورية إلى حين تتهيأ الظروف... ولا نطلب إذنا من أحد من أجل محاربة الإرهاب".
واعتبر أردوغان أن "الأزمة السورية لا يمكن أن تحل إلا من قبل الدول التي تستفيد من تضميد جراح سوريا وتتضرر من تعميق النزاع".
وأضاف أردوغان: "إننا أكدنا دائما بشكل صريح ونواصل التأكيد بأننا لن نسمح بوجود أي عناصر تهدد أمن بلادنا القومي أو وحدة أراضي سوريا".
وذكر أردوغان: "سنتخذ في المستقبل القريب بالتعاون مع أصدقائنا وحلفائنا خطوات ضرورية للحفاظ على وحدة أراضي جارتنا".  
وشدد أردوغان على أن "الادعاءات الصادرة من الولايات المتحدة" حول هذه القضية "لا أساس لها ولا تعكس الحقائق وإنما وجهة نظر بعض المجموعات ذات المصالح الضيقة".
وتجري تركيا والولايات المتحدة مفاوضات متوترة حول العملية العسكرية المرتقبة للجيش التركي في شمال سوريا والتي تقول أنقرة إنها ستستهدف "الإرهابيين" من "وحدات حماية الشعب" الكردية، وهو التنظيم الذي تعاون مع القوات الأمريكية في محاربة "داعش" على الأرض السورية.
