The activists of the headquarters met today to amend the National Law in Rosh Ha'ayin and marched towards the house of Gantz. During the week, activists are expected to hold similar demonstrations in front of the house of party leaders and other candidates for the upcoming elections in the Knesset and demand that they commit to changing the national law immediately after the elections. "The National Law, in its current form, strengthens racism, hatred, and rift among the members of Israeli society, and seriously harms the children of minorities and national immunity."
The new right-wing party, led by ministers Naftali Bennett and Ayelet Shakid, commented quickly on Gantz's words: "Gantz's first political statement shows that Gantz belongs to the left. أقل من ثلاثة أشهر، قبيل الانتخابات للكنيست وبعد انتظار طويل لسماع أقوال رئيس هيئة الأركان الأسبق، بيني غانتس، تحدث غانتس اليوم الإثنين للمرة الأولى عن قضية سياسية ملحة. “سوف أعمل من أجل تعديل قانون القومية”، قال غانتس أمام منزله لمجموعة من النشطاء من المقر لتعديل قانون القومية.
قال زعيم حزب “حوسن ليسرائيل”، في لقاء قصير مع المتظاهرين، من الطائفة الدرزية: “لدينا تحالف دم، ولكن يوجد بيننا تحالف للعيش أيضا. علينا التأكد أننا نبني معا هذه الشراكة، والتحالف بالتعاون كجزء من العيش المشترك، كما ينبغي أن يكون. سوف أبذل قصارى جهودي، من أجل تعديل القانون، الذي يُجسد هذه العلاقة المتينة وغير القابلة للفصل ليس في ميدان المعركة فحسب، بل في الحياة اليومية أيضا. نحافظ على التحالف في حالات الضائقة والفرج على حد سواء. سنقوم بهذه الخطوة معا”.
اجتمع اليوم صباحا نشطاء المقر لتعديل قانون القومية في روش هعاين وساروا باتجاه منزل غانتس. من المتوقع أن يجري النشطاء خلال الأسبوع تظاهرات شبيهة أمام منزل رؤساء الأحزاب، ومرشحين آخرين للانتخابات القريبة في الكنيست، وأن يطالبوهم بالالتزام لتغيير قانون القومية فور الانتخابات. يعزز قانون القومية وفق صياغته الحالية العنصرية، الكراهية، والشرخ بين أبناء المجتمع الإسرائيلي، ويلحق ضررا خطيرا بأبناء الأقليات وبالحصانة القومية”، جاء على لسان مقر النضال.

علق حزب “اليمين الجديد”، برئاسة الوزيرين نفتالي بينيت وأييلت شاكيد، على أقوال غانتس سريعا: “أقوال غانتس السياسية الأولى توضح أن غانتس ينتمي إلى اليسار. قانون القومية هو إنجاز تاريخي، يعيد للدولة طابعها القومي، اليهودي، والصهيوني في ظل التدهور المستمر الذي تسبب به غانتس”.
