Guido appeals to Britain not to extradite Venezuela's gold to Maduro
Venezuelan parliament speaker Juan Guido, who has appointed himself as prime minister, has appealed to Prime Minister Teresa Mai not to return government-owned gold bullion in Britain to the government of Nicolas Maduro.
A report from the Ambito Gate, based on Guido's own letter, said the letter, sent on January 26, was sent to May as well as to Bank of England President Mark Carney.

The Bank of England refuses to return Gold Bullion to Maduro
The British bank has refused to give Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro $ 1.2 billion worth of Venezuelan gold bullion, the bank said on Saturday.

غوايدو يناشد بريطانيا عدم تسليم ذهب فنزويلا المودع عندها لمادورو
ناشد رئيس برلمان فنزويلا المعارض خوان غوايدو، الذي نصّب نفسه رئيسا، رئيسة وزراء بريطانيا، تيريزا ماي، عدم إعادة سبائك ذهبية مملوكة للدولة ومودعة في بريطانيا، لحكومة نيكولاس مادورو.
وذكر تقرير لبوابة Ambito استند إلى رسالة غوايدو نفسه، أن الرسالة، التي تم إرسالها في 26 يناير الجاري، تم توجيهها إلى ماي، وكذلك إلى رئيس بنك إنجلترا مارك كارني.
وفي رسالته المكتوبة، طلب غوايدو تأخير"هذه الصفقة غير الشرعية وغير القانونية ... لأنه، إذا تم تحويل الأموال، فسيتم استخدامها من قبل نظام مادورو لسحق الناس" حسب قوله.

ويوم الأربعاء في 23 يناير الجاري، أعلن رئيس البرلمان في البلاد، خوان غوايدو تنصيب نفسه رئيسا مؤقتا للدولة. وأعلنت الولايات المتحدة وعدد من الدول الأخرى اعترافها بغويدو وطالبت الرئيس الفنزويلي الشرعي مادورو، المنتخب شرعيا، بتسليمه السلطة وعدم السماح بأعمال عنف ضد المعارضة.
وحتى الآن، اعترفت بالإضافة إلى الولايات المتحدة، البرازيل، كندا، الأرجنتين، تشيلي، كولومبيا، كوستاريكا، غواتيمالا، هندوراس، بنما، باراغواي، بيرو، جورجيا، ألبانيا، أستراليا، وعدد من الدول الأخرى بوضع غواييدو كرئيس مؤقت للدولة، ودعمت روسيا والصين والمكسيك وكوبا ونيكاراغوا وسوريا وفلسطين  مادورو بصفته الرئيس الشرعي لفنزويلا.

صرح مصدر مطلع، اليوم السبت، بأن المصرف البريطاني رفض إعطاء الرئيس الفنزويلي، نيكولاس مادورو، ما قيمته 1.2 مليار دولار من السبائك الذهبية​​​ الفنزويلية المودعة في البنك.
هذا وأعلن الرئيس الفنزويلي، في شهر ديسمبر من العام الماضي، أن فنزويلا لديها الحق في بيع الذهب على خلفية العقوبات الأمريكية، وعدم التأكد من عودة الذهب الفنزويلي من المملكة المتحدة.
ونقلت وكالة "بلومبيرغ" عن مصدر لم يذكر اسمه قوله بأن القرار بعدم السماح لحكومة مادورو بسحب الذهب الفنزويلي تم بعد أن قام مسؤولون أمريكيون كبار، بمن فيهم وزير الخارجية الأمريكي مايك بومبيو ومستشار الرئيس للأمن القومي جون بولتون بالضغط على زملائهم في المملكة المتحدة لمنع وصول الأصول المالية الخارجية إلى مادورو.
وأشارت الوكالة إلى أن المسؤولين الأمريكيين يحاولون الآن إرسال أصول أجنبية إلى خوان غوايدو، الذي نصب نفسه قائما مؤقتا بأعمال رئيس فنزويلا، من أجل زيادة فرص السيطرة على الحكومة.
وأضافت الوكالة أن إجمالي الاحتياطيات الأجنبية للبنك المركزي الفنزويلي يصل إلى 8 مليارات دولار. جزء من هذه الأصول في بنك إنجلترا، وغير معروف مكان الجزء المتبقي من الأصول.
هذا ونصب زعيم المعارضة ورئيس البرلمان الفنزويلي، خوان غوايدو، يوم الأربعاء الماضي، نفسه قائما مؤقتا بأعمال رئيس فنزويلا بدلا من الرئيس الشرعي الحالي نيكولاس مادورو، وتوالت بعد ذلك ردود أفعال الدول ما بين مؤيد ومعارض.
وكانت الولايات المتحدة أولى الدول التي اعترفت بالمعارض، خوان غوايدو، كرئيس مؤقت جديد لفنزويلا. ودعا وزير الخارجية الأمريكي، مايك بومبيو، مادورو لتسليم السلطة إلى غوايدو ومنع أي أعمال لاستخدام القوة ضد المعارضة.
ومن جانبه، أعلن رئيس فنزويلا الشرعي، نيكولاس مادورو، يوم الأربعاء الماضي، قطع العلاقات الدبلوماسية مع الولايات المتحدة، وأمهل الدبلوماسيين الأمريكيين مهلة 72 ساعة لمغادرة البلاد.
وكانت روسيا من جانبها، قد أعربت عن دعمها للرئيس الشرعي لفنزويلا ، نيكولاس مادورو.
