French President Emmanuel Macaron has said he will discuss the situation of human rights "more frankly" with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, who will meet in Cairo on Monday.
The French president, who arrived in Egypt on Sunday for a three-day visit, criticized the human rights situation in Egypt. "The situation has worsened since October 2017," he said.
He pointed out that he would be away from the media "closed talks" with Sisi about "individual cases" of dissidents or imprisoned personalities.
"I will speak more frankly, and more clearly ... because I think that is in the interest of the president of the regime and of stability in Egypt," McCron said during an interview with the French press on the first day of his visit to Egypt.
He explained that the authority in Egypt has "relatively authoritarian features that its leaders consider necessary to avoid destabilization, especially by the Muslim Brotherhood or opposition parties at home.
"For all these reasons, cutting off all forms of cooperation (with Egypt) will accelerate Egypt's closer proximity to Russia or other forces that wish to do so," he said.
"They are journalists and gays, women and men, who have convictions that do not seem to pose any threat to the regime," he said.
The French president said that this method of governance is considered by the Egyptian civil society "more harsh than the regime of former Egyptian President (Hosni) Mubarak," who stepped down in 2011 under the pressure of protests against him.
McCron stressed the importance of "stability and respect for sovereignty," but added that "what is happening here threatens long-term stability in Egypt."
The French president hopes to boost trade with the largest Arab country in terms of population, and the "necessary" ally of Paris, which he sees as the poles of stability in the Middle East.
McCron said he would discuss with his Egyptian counterpart the case of French teacher Eric Lang, who died after being violently beaten on September 13, 2013, when he was being held at a police station in Cairo. "Progress must be made," the French president said, adding that the Lang family clearly demanded "truth" in the case.
Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radhi announced that the Egyptian president will meet his French counterpart and his wife Brigitte Macaron Monday morning at the Federal Palace in the framework of the French President's visit to Egypt for three days. ماكرون يعتزم بحث أوضاع حقوق الإنسان في مصر مع السيسي "بصراحة أكبر"
أعلن الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون أنه سيبحث أوضاع حقوق الإنسان "بصراحة أكبر" مع نظيره المصري عبد الفتاح السيسي الذي يلتقيه في القاهرة اليوم الاثنين.
وانتقد الرئيس الفرنسي، الذي وصل أمس الأحد إلى مصر في زيارة تستغرق 3 أيام، أوضاع حقوق الإنسان في مصر، مشيرا إلى أن " الأوضاع ازدادت سوءا منذ أكتوبر 2017"، حين زار السيسي باريس.
وأشار إلى أنه سيجري بعيدا عن الإعلام "محادثات مغلقة" مع السيسي حول "حالات فردية" لمعارضين أو لشخصيات مسجونة.
وقال ماكرون خلال لقاء مع الصحافة الفرنسية، في اليوم الأول من زيارته مصر "سأتحدث بطريقة أكثر صراحة، وأكثر وضوحا (...) لأنني أعتقد أن ذلك يصب في مصلحة الرئيس السيسي والاستقرار في مصر".
وأوضح أن السلطة في مصر لديها "ملامح تسلّطية نسبيا يعتبرها قادتها ضرورية لتجنب زعزعة الاستقرار، خاصة من جانب الإخوان المسلمين أو جهات معارضة في الداخل. أنا أعي ذلك، وأحترمه".
وتابع الرئيس الفرنسي أن "قطع كل أشكال التعاون (مع مصر)، من أجل هذه الأسباب، سيُسرع أكثر تقرب مصر من روسيا أو من قوى أخرى تتمنى حصول ذلك".
وقال "حاليا، ليس المعارضون السياسيون فقط من هم في السجون، بل هناك معارضون في المعترك الديموقراطي التقليدي ممن لا يشكلون تهديدا لاستقرار النظام. إنهم صحافيون، ومثليون جنسيا من النساء والرجال، ممن لديهم قناعات يبدو لي أنها لا تشكل أي تهديد للنظام".
وأردف الرئيس الفرنسي أنّ طريقة الحكم هذه يعتبرها المجتمع المدني المصري "أكثر قساوة من نظام الرئيس المصري الأسبق (حسني) مبارك"، الذي تنحى في 2011 تحت ضغط تظاهرات احتجاجية ضده.
وشدد ماكرون على أهمّية "الاستقرار واحترام السيادة"، لكنّه أضاف أنّ "ما يحصل هنا يهدد على المدى الطويل الاستقرار في مصر".
ويأمل الرئيس الفرنسي تعزيز التبادل التجاري مع البلد العربي الأكبر من حيث عدد السكان، والحليف "الضروري" لباريس التي تعتبره قطباً للاستقرار في الشرق الأوسط.
وأشار ماكرون إلى أنه سيبحث مع نظيره المصري قضية المدرّس الفرنسي إريك لانغ الذي قضى بعدما ضرب بعنف في 13 سبتمبر 2013 عندما كان معتقلا في مركز للشرطة في القاهرة. وقال الرئيس الفرنسي "يجب تحقيق تقدم" ، مضيفا أن عائلة لانغ تطالب بجلاء "الحقيقة" في هذه القضية.
هذا وأعلن المتحدث باسم الرئاسة المصرية، بسام راضي، أن الرئيس المصري سيستقبل نظيره الفرنسي، وزوجته بريجيت ماكرون، صباح اليوم الاثنين بقصر الاتحادية، وذلك في إطار زيارة الرئيس الفرنسي لمصر لمدة ثلاثة أيام، حيث من المقرر عقد جلسة مباحثات ثنائية بين الزعيمين، وكذلك جلسة مباحثات موسعة بمشاركة وفدي الجانبين الرسميين يعقبها التوقيع على عدد من الاتفاقيات ومذكرات التفاهم بين البلدين الصديقين، ثم يعقد الزعيمين في ختام المباحثات مؤتمرا صحفيا.

وقال المتحدث باسم الرئاسة المصرية، السفير بسام راضي، إن زيارة الرئيس الفرنسي إلى مصر تأتي في إطار الأهمية التي توليها مصر للعلاقات مع فرنسا، وبهدف تعزيز العمل المشترك خلال المرحلة المقبلة.
كما تستهدف المباحثات القادمة تعزيز الشراكة بين البلدين، خاصة على الصعيد الاقتصادي والتجاري والثقافي، فضلا عن تعزيز التعاون بين مصر وفرنسا والقارة الإفريقية تحت مظلة الرئاسة المصرية المنتظرة للاتحاد الإفريقي.
وأضاف راضي في تصريحات لـصحيفة "الأهرام" أن السيسي وماكرون سيبحثان خلال لقاء القمة المرتقب مختلف القضايا الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، من أجل مواجهة التحديات القائمة في هذا الخصوص، وعلى رأسها الأزمات الراهنة بالشرق الأوسط، التي تمتد تداعياتها إلى منطقة البحر المتوسط.
وأوضح راضي أن القمة ستناقش عددا من الملفات، على رأسها التعاون الاقتصادي والتجاري، وتعزيز حجم الاستثمارات الفرنسية في السوق المصرية.
وأشار إلى أن مصر تمثل نقطة انطلاق للصادرات الفرنسية لمختلف أسواق المنطقة، بالنظر إلى موقعها الجغرافي واتفاقات التجارة الحرة التي ترتبط بها.
