"Our president called and expressed Turkey's support for Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and my brother Maduro told him, 'Stand up, we are on your side,'" spokesman Ibrahim Kalan told Reuters on Thursday.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mouloud Zhaoshoglu expressed his solidarity with Maduro. Such a declaration could lead to chaos, he said, referring to Venezuelan opposition speaker Juan Guadillo declaring himself president.
"There is an elected president and another person who declares himself president, and some countries are aware of that, this may cause chaos. We are against isolating the countries. I hope the situation will be resolved peacefully," Zhaooshoglu told A-Kharab news channel.
Venezuelan opposition speaker Juan Guadillo declared himself the interim president of the country on Wednesday, winning support from Washington and many Latin American countries, prompting Maduro, who has been president since 2013, to sever ties with the United States.

أردوغان: صدمني قرار ترامب بشأن فنزويلا
قال الرئيس التركي رجب طيب أردوغان إنه صدم بتصريح نظيره الأمريكي دونالد ترامب بشأن فنزويلا الذي اعترف فيه بزعيم المعارضة خوان غوايدو رئيسا انتقاليا للبلاد بدلا من رئيسها الشرعي.
وقال أردوغان، في مؤتمر صحفي مشترك مع رئيسة مالطا ماري لويز كوليرو بريكا جرت في أنقرة اليوم الخميس: "كشخص يؤمن بالديمقراطية صدمت بموقف ترامب إزاء الوضع في فنزويلا. إن الذين يكافحون من أجل الديمقراطية عليهم الاعتراف بنتائج صناديق الاقتراع. إننا ضد أي أفعال غير ديمقراطية".
وأضاف الرئيس التركي أن ما يجري في فنزويلا غير مقبول، معبرا عن ثقته بقدرة مادورو على تجاوز الأزمة، وبأن الشعب سيواصل دعم "قائده الذي انتخبه".
وعبر أردوغان عن تقديره لوقوف مادورو إلى جانب السلطات التركية خلال محاولة الانقلاب الفاشلة التي مرت بها البلاد صيف 2016، قائلا إن الرئيس الفنزويلي "اتصل بنا دون تأخر للإعراب عن دعمه إثر المحاولة الانقلابية الفاشلة".

قال المتحدث باسم الرئاسة التركية، إن الرئيس رجب طيب أردوغان اتصل بنظيره الفنزويلي نيكولاس مادورو بعد أن قام رئيس البرلمان المعارض خوان غوايدو بتسمية نفسه رئيسا للبلاد.
وغرد المتحدث إبراهيم قالن على موقع التواصل الاجتماعي "تويتر" اليوم الخميس قائلا: "اتصل رئيسنا وعبر عن مساندة تركيا للرئيس الفنزويلي نيكولاس مادورو وقال له أخي مادورو! انهض، نحن بجانبك".
بدوره، أعرب وزير الخارجية التركي مولود تشاووش أوغلو، عن تضامنه مع مادورو. وقال إن مثل هذا الإعلان قد يؤدي إلى الفوضى، في إشارة إلى إعلان رئيس البرلمان المعارض في فنزويلا خوان غوايدو بتسمية نفسه رئيسا للبلاد.
وأوضح تشاووش أوغلو لقناة "أيه خبر" الإخبارية: "هناك رئيس منتخب وشخص آخر يعلن نفسه رئيسا، وبعض الدول تدرك ذلك.. هذا قد يسبب فوضى.. نحن ضد عزل البلدان.. آمل أن يتم حل الوضع بسلام".
وأعلن رئيس البرلمان المعارض في فنزويلا خوان غوايدو، نفسه رئيسا مؤقتا للبلاد أمس الأربعاء، وحصل على دعم واشنطن وكثير من دول أمريكا اللاتينية مما دفع مادورو الذي يرأس البلاد منذ عام 2013، إلى قطع العلاقات مع الولايات المتحدة.
