أكدت السعودية وقوفها الدائم إلى جانب حكومة وشعب السودان في تصريح يعد الأول من نوعه تصدره الرياض حول المظاهرات التي تشهدها المدن السودانية.
وأكد السفير السعودي في الخرطوم علي بن حسن دعم بلاده للسودان لتتمكن من المضي قدما في تحقيق الاستقرار والأمن.
وقدم مساعد الرئيس السوداني فيصل حسن إبراهيم توضيحا لسفراء الدول العربية حول التظاهرات التي انتشرت في السودان منذ ديسمبر الماضي وبحث معهم الأزمة الاقتصادية التي تمر بها الخرطوم وإجراءات حلها.
وقال السفير السعودي في تصريح صحفي إن المسؤول السوداني أكد للسفراء رؤية الحكومة في الخرطوم في طرح الحوار كأساس للعملية السلمية في البلاد وأشار لتأكيد سفراء المجموعة العربية وقوف بلدانهم مع السودان والحفاظ على أمنه واستقراره.
