Sudan's Transitional Military Council Chairman Abdul Fattah al-Burhan al-Burhan is sworn in as president of the Sudanese sovereign council tomorrow
Lieutenant General Abdelfattah Al Burhan, sworn in on Wednesday morning (August 21st), will take the oath of office before the Chief Justice to take over the presidency of the sovereign council.
Sudan's state news agency SUNA reported on its official Twitter page on Tuesday, a spokesman for Sudan's transitional military council, Shamsuddin Kabbashi, said.
Kabbashi announced on August 17 that the current chairman of the junta, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, would be chairman of the Sovereign Council, formed under the political agreement between the Sudanese parties to administer the transitional period, which consists of 11 members, including 5 military personnel.
The Transitional Military Council in Sudan and the forces of the Declaration of Freedom and Change, signed in Khartoum today, the document of the Constitutional Declaration definitively, amid the presence of official Arab and African wide.
Witnesses at the ceremony included Ethiopian Prime Minister Abi Ahmed, Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly and African Union Commission Chairman Moussa Faki. Finnish Foreign Minister Pika Havisto, OIC Secretary General Yusuf bin Ahmed Al Othaimeen, Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League Khalil Al Zawadi and UN Secretary General's Envoy for the Horn of Africa also signed.
Attendees include Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta, South Sudan's President Silva Kiir Mayardit, Chad's President Idriss Deby, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Caveusoglu and Saudi Arabia's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

يؤدي الفريق أول ركن عبد الفتاح البرهان، القسم، صباح غد الأربعاء، 21 أغسطس/ آب، أمام رئيس القضاء، ليتولى رئاسة المجلس السيادي.
ذكرت ذلك وكالة الأنباء السودانية "سونا"، اليوم الثلاثاء، على صفحتها الرسمية في "تويتر"، حسبما أعلن الناطق باسم المجلس العسكري الانتقالي في السودان، شمس الدين كباشي.
وأعلن الكباشي، يوم 17 أغسطس، أن الرئيس الحالي للمجلس العسكري الفريق عبد الفتاح البرهان، سيكون رئيسا للمجلس السيادي، المشكل بموجب الاتفاق السياسي بين الأطراف السودانية لإدارة الفترة الانتقالية، والذي يتكون من 11 عضوا بينهم 5 عسكريين.
ووقع المجلس العسكري الانتقالي في السودان وقوى إعلان الحرية والتغيير، في الخرطوم اليوم، وثيقة الإعلان الدستوري بصفة نهائية، وسط حضور رسمي عربي وأفريقي واسع.
ومن الشهود الموقعين على المراسم، رئيس وزراء إثيوبيا آبي أحمد، ورئيس الوزراء المصري مصطفى مدبولي، ورئيس مفوضية الاتحاد الأفريقي موسى فكي. كما وقع وزير الخارجية الفنلندي بيكا هافيستو، والأمين العام لمنظمة التعاون الإسلامي يوسف بن أحمد العثيمين، والأمين العام المساعد للجامعة العربية خليل الزوادي، ومبعوث الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة للقرن الأفريقي.

ومن بين الحضور، الرئيس الكيني أوهورو كينياتا، ورئيس جنوب السودان سيلفا كير ميارديت، ورئيس تشاد إدريس ديبي، ووزير الخارجية التركي مولود تشاووش أوغلو، ووزير الدولة السعودي للشؤون الخارجية.
