WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Israel has carried out several strikes in Iraq in recent days targeting weapons stores belonging to Iraqi insurgent groups, two US officials told The New York Times.

The Israeli strike destroyed a shipment of guided missiles with a range of more than 125 miles, the official said.
The New York Times saw the July 19 attack as the first Israeli attack in Iraq in nearly four decades.
Four attacks on weapons depots in Iraq over the past three months, three of which belonged to the Popular Mobilization Forces in or near Salah al-Din province, the sources said. The fourth attack targeted a warehouse at a base in Baghdad used by police and armed groups.
Earlier on Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Channel 9 that "Iran is trying to establish bases against Israel in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen. We are taking action against any country aimed at destroying us."

قال مسؤولان أمريكيان لصحيفة "نيويورك تايمز" إن إسرائيل نفذت عدة ضربات في العراق خلال الأيام الماضية استهدفت مخازن أسلحة تعود لجماعات عراقية مسلحة.
وأضاف المسؤولان أن إسرائيل نفذت عدة غارات جوية في الأيام الأخيرة على مخازن للأسلحة تعود لجماعات مسلحة "تدعمها إيران" في العراق.
وأشارت الصحيفة في تقريرها إلى أن إيران تستخدم مستودعات الأسلحة في العراق لنقل أسلحة إلى سوريا وإلى حزب الله.
وأشار مسؤول كبير في الاستخبارات في الشرق الأوسط للصحيفة إلى هجوم نفذته إسرائيل استهدف قاعدة بشمال بغداد في 19 يوليو الماضي، وقال إن هذه القاعدة تستخدمها قوات الحرس الثوري الإيراني لنقل الأسلحة إلى سوريا.
وأضاف المسؤول أن الضربة الإسرائيلية دمرت شحنة من الصواريخ الموجهة  بمدى يتجاوز 125 ميلا.
واعتبرت نيويورك تايمز هجوم 19 يوليو أنه أول هجوم إسرائيلي في العراق منذ نحو أربعة عقود.
وذكرت الصحيفة بحسب مصادرها أن أربعة هجمات استهدفت مستودعات الأسلحة في العراق خلال الأشهر الثلاثة الماضية، ثلاثة من هذه المستودعات تابعة لقوات الحشد الشعبي في محافظة صلاح الدين أو بالقرب منها. والهجوم الرابع استهدف مستودعا بقاعدة في بغداد تستخدمها الشرطة وجماعات مسلحة.
وفي وقت سابق من يوم الخميس، صرح رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو للقناة التاسعة بأن "إيران تحاول إقامة قواعد ضد إسرائيل في لبنان وسوريا والعراق واليمن. ونحن ننفذ إجراءات ضد أي بلد يهدف إلى تدميرنا".

من جانبها نقلت وكالة "رويترز" عن مسؤول عسكري عراقي تأكيده أن عدة تفجيرات استهدفت موقعا تابعا للحشد الشعبي قرب قاعدة بلد الجوية إلى الشمال من بغداد. وذكر المسؤول العسكري أن مخزن الأسلحة كان هدفا لقصف جوي.
وأضافت الوكالة أنه لم يتسن الحصول على تعليق من التحالف الذي تقوده الولايات المتحدة، ولم ترد تقارير فورية عن خسائر بشرية.
وذكر شهود عيان أن الانفجارات تسببت في تطاير صواريخ مخزنة إلى بساتين قريبة وإلى قاعدة بلد نفسها.
وردا على سؤال حول مختلف الهجمات الأخيرة على المنشآت العسكرية في العراق، صرح نتنياهو للصحفيين في كييف الاثنين بأن "إيران ليست لديها حصانة في أي مكان".

وأكد بوهان في تصريح لـ"السومرية نيوز"، أن الحادث هو عبارة عن انفجار كدس للعتاد داخل مقر تابع للحشد ملاصق لقاعدة بلد الجوية.
وأضاف أنه "بأمر من وزير الداخلية، تم إرسال تعزيزات إلى قضاء بلد من الدفاع المدني".
