أعلن "حزب الله"، أن الطائرتين الإسرائيليتين اللتين سقطتا في ضاحية بيروت الجنوبية، ليل السبت/الأحد، كانتا مزوّدتين بمواد متفجرة، حيث انفجرت الأولى فيما تعطّلت الثانية.
وأوضح "حزب الله"، في بيان، أنه "بعد قيام الخبراء المختصين في المقاومة الإسلامية بتفكيك الطائرة المسيرة الأولى التي سقطت في الضاحية الجنوبية تبين أنها تحتوي على عبوة مغلفة ومعزولة بطريقة فنية شديدة الإحكام وأن المواد المتفجرة الموجودة بداخلها هي من نوع سي-4 وزنة العبوة تبلغ 5.5 كيلوغرامات".

وأضاف البيان أنه "بناءً على هذه المعطيات الجديدة التي توفرت بعد تفكيك الطائرة وتحليل محتوياتها فإننا نؤكد أن هدف الطائرة المسيرة الأولى لم يكن الاستطلاع وإنما كانت تهدف إلى تنفيذ عملية تفجير تماماً كما حصل مع الطائرة المسيرة الثانية".
