Title of book: Common life Anthropological research
Author: Zvitan Todorov
Translated by Munther Ayashi
This book revolves around the argument that "man is a social being" and raises questions about the meaning of this phrase.
In this anthropological research, in which philosophy parallels psychoanalysis, and literary works converge by introspection, the author concludes that the human being is doomed and wants to be recognized and even in isolation is made of relations with others.
At the beginning of his book "Common Life", Tzvitan Todorov examines the history of Western philosophical thought, a view that the author does not claim to be the result of deep historical studies.
"If we know the great currents of European philosophical thought about the definition of what is human, we come to a curious conclusion that the social dimension, the reality of co-existence, is not, Is generally conceived as a necessity for man, yet this thesis does not appear as it is, but rather a hypothesis that is not codified.
And its author for this reason, has not had the opportunity of the argument, and we accept it easily anyway, in addition to it, they constitute the common denominator of theories that conflict and fight, no matter who tend to them in these conflicts, we always embrace the definition of isolated, "He said.
Tudorff cites this view of what Montagny, who wanted to give advice to his peers, says: "Let our consent be ours, and get rid of all the bonds that bind us to the other, and let us bear the ability to live alone alone and to live as we wish. He says in another tip: "They left with pleasures other pleasures that come from the satisfaction of the other."
According to Montagne, it is possible, indeed, to be free from relations with other human beings at the same time, especially from the satisfaction we give them, and this view is considered by the writer as a wisdom.
Todorov points out that it is fortunate that this view is not always applied everywhere, and that in other times, with the human illusion of ideal self-sufficiency, a great thinker such as Pascal believed that we do not know ourselves to be self-sufficient and that he Socialism is a realistic trend, but idealism is also realistic because the deep truth of our nature is unity. This is the first major formula for the perception of individuality that lies under our representations of a common life.
