Russia rejects report of the Chemical Weapons Organization on Syria

Russia today announced its rejection of the report of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) on Syria, pointing out that it contradicts the provisions of the Chemical Weapons Convention
The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement today, as reported by the agency - Sputnik - Russian, that the report was placed without authorization, and multiple violations, noting that it violates the provisions of the Chemical Weapons Convention and the privacy policy of the organization
"According to available information, the criteria for interaction will be determined through the conclusion of a memorandum of understanding between the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons and the International Neutral Mechanism established in accordance with resolution 71/248 adopted by the United Nations General Assembly to facilitate investigations of persons responsible for the most serious crimes under the law In Syria since March 2011 "
"The fact that this document appeared and its content raises a number of serious questions, and it is clear that" it has been compiled with numerous violations, without the corresponding authoritarian authority of the author"
"The memo directly violates the provisions of the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in terms of confidentiality, as well as the confidentiality policy of the Organization, which does not propose guarantees for access to a" mechanism "to access information of interest
Moscow hopes that the parties will reconsider their position on the conclusion of the present note, because "their attempts to implement it are fraught with unpredictable consequences for the integrity of the Chemical Weapons Convention and the building of a constructive dialogue on the basis of mutual respect for chemical weapons at the United Nations"
