Born and raised in the land of kings, queens and pyramids--Egypt, Michael (a pseudonym to protect his identity) knows this land of grandeur and mystery. He knows the culture and the people. Michael is married with two children; a young man aged 22 and a girl aged 19. He is an elder in one of Cairo’s local evangelical churches and has been serving believers there since 1990. Michael is a member of the leadership team of a national ministry that focuses on supporting the local church, working with ministry partners to strengthen the church and teach Christians in Egypt to stand strong through persecution and pressure. Micheal is travelling throughout the country to encourage and empower small local churches and Christians wherever they live.

Open Doors USA President and CEO David Curry advocates on behalf of those who are persecuted for their Christian faith. He provides leadership to Open Doors USA on its mission to strengthen and equip Christians living under extreme restrictions, while encouraging them to remain strong in their faith.
Since joining Open Doors USA in August 2013, Curry has traveled overseas to encourage those living under persecution and to support the work Open Doors. He appears frequently on Fox News and is a regular contributor to The Huffington Post. Curry has also been published or featured in CBS News, CNN, The Washington Post, USA Today, Christianity Today, The Christian Post and other news outlets.
Curry previously served as CEO and president at Christian organizations that serve the homeless and neglected children in several countries, including India and Haiti.
Curry is the author of four books: First Aid for Enablers, It's Not How Far You Fall It's How High You Bounce, God Plays Golf and Change Your World!.
Curry holds a bachelor's degree from Northwest University in Seattle and an honorary doctorate of humane letters from Faith Evangelical College and Seminary based in Tacoma, Washington. Based in Santa Ana, California, Curry and his wife have two children.
