Trump continued his defense of Ben Salman over Gamal Khashoggi's case. Without Saudi Arabia, Israel would have been in great trouble. Saudi Arabia was "a great ally" and "created great jobs in the United States because of its arms purchases
Trump also continued his opposition to the CIA report that Khashoggi's death warrants were issued by the same crown prince
Trump said in statements from his Florida resort during a meeting with a number of journalists that the intelligence agency "has a feeling" that Salman is the one who ordered the execution of the crime but did not conclusively conclude this conclusion
Trump also repeated what he had previously said in an interview with Fox News that Bin Salman had strongly denied his prior knowledge that Khashoggi would have been assassinated, and his father, King Salman, reiterated his personal opinion that the CIA report might conclude that the Crown Prince Saudi "probably did it and maybe not"
When Trump asked who should be held accountable for the crime, the president said, "Perhaps the world must be held to account because the world is a very evil place!"
"I hate this crime, I hate what happened, and Bin Salman also hates it more than I do," said Trump.
