وأضاف "متفائلون للغاية إزاء قدرتنا على أن نكون قوة خير تساعد تلك المنطقة على تحقيق ذلك معا".

مادورو يبدأ فترة ثانية في رئاسة فنزويلا ويتجاهل الانتقادات
بدأ الرئيس الفنزويلي نيكولاس مادورو فترة ولاية ثانية اليوم الخميس متحديا منتقديه في الولايات المتحدة وأمريكا اللاتينية الذين وصفوه بأنه مغتصب للسلطة في بلد أدت فيها الفوضى الاقتصادية إلى أزمة إنسانية.

وحسب "رويترز" أدى مادورو اليمين أمام المحكمة العليا المؤيدة للحكومة والتي حلت إلى حد كبير محل البرلمان الذي تسيطر عليه المعارضة.

كما ذكرت وزارة الخارجية في بيرو أنها استدعت القائم بالأعمال من سفارتها في فنزويلا احتجاجا على تنصيب مادورو لفترة جديدة وصفتها بأنها "غير شرعية".
وقال مادورو عقب تأدية اليمين "لقد ظهر عالم جديد يرفض أن تتحكم فيه النظم الإمبريالية المهيمنة بدولة واحدة أو ببلدان تدور في فلكها".
وتابع "تلك هي الدعوة التي ترسلها ثورتنا إلى شعوب وحكومات العالم".
وقد صور زعماء المعارضة التنصيب بأنه اللحظة التي سينظر فيها العالم إلى مادورو على أنه دكتاتور بعد انتخابات العام الماضي التي شهدت مقاطعة واسعة النطاق ووصفتها العديد من الحكومات الأجنبية بأنها مسرحية هزلية.
لكن استمرار دعم الجيش وتفرق المعارضة والحملة الصارمة على المنتقدين تعني أن مادورو سيواجه على الأرجح تحديات محدودة في الداخل رغم صيحات الغضب في الخارج
