Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir announced on Sunday (March 3rd) new measures amid continuing protests in defiance of the emergency law announced by the Sudanese president a few days ago.
Khartoum - Sputnik. Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir has called on sports officials in the country to pay attention to the development of sports activities, especially football.
The Sudanese president issued a directive in preparation and planning, so that the Sudanese team will participate in the finals of the World Cup next year in Doha Qatar in 2022, for the first time in the history of Sudan.
"I am in pain when I look to arrange our teams among countries, especially in football, even though Sudan is one of the founders of the African Football Confederation," Bashir said during a meeting with sports officials in Sudan.
"Our goal in 2022 is to have a team that participates in the Doha World Cup. This is not a wish, but through a clear program work. There is really not much time; there are three years for a team that can compete in the World Cup, But not impossible, "noting that this year will be the year of youth.
"Therefore, we must sit as officials and all athletes and look at the work of clear programs and plans, and we as a state to create the appropriate atmosphere and attention to collect sports."

أعلن الرئيس السوداني، عمر البشير، اليوم الأحد 3 مارس/آذار، عن إجراءات جديدة، وسط استمرار الاحتجاجات في تحدي قانون الطوارئ الذي أعلنه الرئيس السوداني قبل أيام.
الخرطوم — سبوتنيك. ودعا الرئيس السوداني، عمر البشير، المسؤولون عن الرياضة في البلاد إلى الاهتمام بتطوير النشاطات الرياضية خاصة كرة القدم.
وأصدر الرئيس السوداني توجيها بالإعداد والتخطيط، حتى يشارك المنتخب السوداني في نهائيات مونديال كأس العالم المقبلة بالدوحة القطرية العام 2022، لأول مرة في تاريخ السودان.
وقال البشير، خلال لقائه عدد من المسؤولين عن الرياضة في السودان اليوم الأحد، "أتألم عندما أنظر لترتيب فرقنا بين الدول خاصة في رياضة كرة القدم، رغم أن السودان من مؤسسي الاتحاد الأفريقي لكرة القدم".
وأضاف البشير "هدفنا في العام 2022، يكون لنا منتخب يشارك في مونديال الدوحة، وهذا ليس من قبيل الأماني لكن عبر عمل  برامج واضح، وبالحقيقة ليس هناك متسع من الوقت؛ فهناك ثلاثة سنوات لأجل يتم تجهيز فريق ويستطيع ينافس في كأس العالم، وهذا ليس سهلا لكن ليس مستحيلا"، مشيرا إلى أن العام الحالي سيكون عام الشباب.
وأضاف البشير "لذلك يجب أن نجلس كمسؤولين وكل الرياضيين وننظر لعمل برامج وخطط واضحة، ونحن كدولة علينا تهيئة المناخ المناسب والاهتمام بجمع ضروب الرياضة".

يذكر أن منتخب السودان لكرة القدم يحتل المركز 127 عالميا حسب تصنيف الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا).
