The gathering of Sudanese professionals
After a series of meetings held by the representatives of the assembly with a number of parliamentary blocs, the Committee on Accounts and Public Ombudsman, Administration and Labor in Parliament organized a session on the impact of low wages on performance in public service, the meeting attended by the gathering of Sudanese professionals after an official invitation to the gathering
In the presence of representatives from the General Union of Sudanese Trade Unions and the Supreme Council of Wages, the Ministries of Labor and Finance and a number of members of parliament, the professional gathering presented a summary of its study on the status of wages in Sudan
All agreed on the significant decline in wages and the need to adjust them and raise them in line with the difficulties of living and the huge economic inflation
While the Supreme Council of Wages and the Sudan Workers 'Union referred to their recommendation to approve 2019 c as a new minimum instead of 425 C, the Sudanese Professionals' Association insisted on its claim of 8664c as the minimum amount that could achieve the objective of minimum legislation, the weak claim of the Workers Union and the recommendation of the Higher Council for Wages Equal to the poverty line of 2707 pounds.
In the meantime, a number of representatives of the assembly held a protest in front of the premises of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Sudan, which refused to receive the assembly memorandum demanding the raising of the minimum wage and improving the living conditions, the gathering of Sudanese professionals will continue in his efforts to extract the rights of professionals and workers in wages and better living conditions
