أظهر برنامج زيارة بابا الفاتيكان "فرنسيس" إلى دولة الإمارات، بين يومي الثالث والخامس من فبراير المقبل، أنه سيقيم قداساً داخل أحد ملاعب مدينة زايد الرياضية في اليوم الأخير من رحلته.
بذلك، سيكون "فرنسيس" أول بابا يقيم قداساً في شبه الجزيرة العربية، خلال رحلته المقررة للعاصمة الإماراتية أبو ظبي.
وبحسب وكالة "رويترز"، قال منظمون لرحلة البابا فرنسيس- وهو أول بابا يزور شبه الجزيرة العربية- إنها ستشهد إقامة قداس للمرة الأولى في مكان مفتوح داخل الإمارات.
ومن المقرر أن يزور البابا- الذي كان زار نحو 6 دول غالبية سكانها من المسلمين- جامع الشيخ زايد الكبير بأبوظبي أكبر مسجد بالدولة.
وسيعقد بهذا المسجد اجتماعاً مغلقاً مع أعضاء مجلس حكماء المسلمين، فضلاً عن أنه سيرأس اجتماعاً لممثلي الأديان خلال زيارته للمسجد.

ودخل البابا من قبل مساجد عند زياراته لدول غالبية سكانها من المسلمين، مثل تركيا والأردن ومصر وبنغلاديش وأذربيجان والأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة.
