لندن: تواصل الشرطة البريطانية الخميس مطاردة مشغلي طائرات مسيّرة تحلّق في محيط مطار غاتويك الدولي قرب لندن، ما أدى لتعليق كافة الرحلات الواصلة والمغادرة منه ما تسبب بمشكلة كبيرة لعشرات آلاف المسافرين قبل أيام من عيد الميلاد.
وأعلن المطار في بيان أن “كافة الرحلات من وإلى غاتويك علقت بسبب رصد أنشطة طائرات مسيّرة حول المطار. للأسف، هناك تأخيرات عديدة وإلغاء لرحلات”.
وأعلن لاحقا أنّ مدرجه الوحيد سيظل مغلقا حتى الساعة 16:00 على الاقل بسبب “مشاهدة طائرات مسيّرة” مساء الأربعاء.
وأوضح المدير التنفيذي للمطار كريس وودروف لهيئة الإذاعة البريطانية (بي بي سي) “رصدنا خلال الساعة الماضية طائرة مسيّرة أخرى”.
وتابع “كانت فوق المطار شاهدتها الشرطة … لم يكن من الآمن إعادة فتح” المطار أمام الملاحة الجوية.
وكان وودروف قال في تصريحات سابقة إنّه من الخطر إطلاق النار على الطائرات المسيرة خشية الرصاص الطائش.

وعلقت غيسيلي فينيش البالغة 43 عاما وكانت ستستقل رحلة إلى مالطا في المطار “العائلة كانت ستلتقي واليوم عيد ميلاد ابنتي لكن كل شيء لم يسر على ما يرام. كنا ننتظر هذا اللقاء منذ وقت طويل”.
– “تصرف طفولي” –
وكانت حركة الملاحة قد علّقت في هذا المطار (الواقع على بعد 50 كلم جنوب لندن) الذي يعدّ ثاني أكبر مطار في بريطانيا بعد هيثرو، الأربعاء عند الساعة 21,30 ت غ بعد الإبلاغ عن طائرتين مسيّرتين تحلّقان في الموقع.
وعادت الحركة إلى المطار ليلا لثلاثة أرباع الساعة قبل أن تتوقف مجددا إثر الإبلاغ عن تحليق طائرات مسيّرة في جواره وآخرها عند الساعة 7,00 ت. غ.
وأوصت إدارة المطار المسافرين من غاتويك بعدم المجيء والتحقّق من وضع رحلاتهم مع شركات الطيران.
ودانت رئيسة الوزراء البريطانية تيريزا ماي “السلوك غير المسؤول وغير المقبول تماما”، مبدية تعاطفها مع “كافة المسافرين الذين يواجهون الكثير من الاضطرابات”.
وقالت في مؤتمر صحافي مع نظيرها البوندي الذي يزور لندن “سنواصل العمل مع سلطات غاتويك وستواصل الشرطة العمل … من اجل إنهاء هذا الامر”.
وداخل قاعات المطار، يواصل المسافرون الانتظار وخصوصا مع عودة الكثيرين الى بلادهم خلال عطلة الميلاد.
وقال مصعب رشدي البالغ 22 عاما الذي كان مسافرا إلى كوبنهاغن “هذا تصرف طفولي أن يفعلوا ذلك لان الأمر أثر على أكثر من 100 ألف شخص”.
أما كارين سوستورم-ناندريس البالغة 49 عاما التي كانت في طريقها إلى ستوكهولم فقد قالت “لا يمكننا الخروج من الطابور لأنه يبدو المكان الوحيد الذي يحتمل أن نحصل منه على معلومات. يبدو أنه مستمر لساعات طويلة، سنبقى هنا لوقت طويل”.
وتوعدت ماي مشغلي الطائرتين بعقوبات تصل إلى خمس سنوات في السجن لتعريضهم طائرة للخطر بموجب قانون تم تمريره قريبا.
وفي البرلمان، طرح أعضاء في مجلس اللوردات احتمال أن يكون الأمر مرتبطا بموجة جديدة لحصول اشخاص على طيارات مسيّرة كهدايا أعياد نهاية السنة.
ويحظر القانون البريطاني استخدام طائرات مسيّرة قرب الطائرات أو على بعد كيلومتر من المطارات أو على ارتفاع أكثر من 400 قدم (122 مترا).
