Sudan and Ethiopia agree on a pipeline project
Sudan and Ethiopia agreed on the project of establishing a joint pipeline to serve the two countries during the meeting held today by the Minister of Energy and Mining d. Adel Mohamed Ibrahim with his Ethiopian counterpart.
The Minister of Energy and Mining d. Adel Mohamed Ibrahim, according to (Suna) that Sudan and Ethiopia will invite South Sudan to establish another branch of the pipeline will be in partnership to extend to the State of South Sudan in order to achieve the benefit of the people of the region.
The Minister of Energy and Mining said that the Ethiopian side is very interested and enthusiastic about this project and we will start implementing it soon after the completion of partnership procedures.
Adel added that the Ethiopian side also offered a second project, which is a partnership in the Sudanese Petroleum Company.
It is known that Nile Petroleum Company has a branch in Ethiopia and has several service stations and warehouses, stressing that a written offer will be made by Ethiopia on this partnership soon.
He added that the meeting also discussed the project to expand Port Sudan port to accommodate a number of ships, gas tankers and gasoline
The meeting also discussed technical cooperation between Sudan and Ethiopia in the field of oil exploration and development and information and training center, he said, adding that the Ethiopians appreciated and appreciated Sudan's experience in the field of oil.
The Minister of Energy confirmed that Ethiopia has expressed its readiness to increase the electricity exported to Sudan.

السودان وإثيوبيا يتفقان على مشروع خط أنابيب
اتفق السودان واثيوبيا على مشروع إقامة خط أنابيب مشترك لخدمة البلدين جاء ذلك خلال الاجتماع الذي عقده اليوم وزير الطاقة والتعدين د. عادل محمد ابراهيم مع نظيره الإثيوبي.
وأضاف وزير الطاقة والتعدين د. عادل محمد ابراهيم بحسب (سونا) ان السودان واثيوبيا سيقدمان دعوة  لجنوب السودان لإنشاء فرع اخر لخط الانابيب يكون بالشراكة ليمتد لدولة جنوب السودان من أجل تحقيق فائدة شعوب المنطقة.
وأكد وزير الطاقة والتعدين ان الجانب الاثيوبي مهتم جداً ومتحمس لهذا المشروع وسنبدأ في تنفيذه قريباً بعد انتهاء إجراءات الشراكة.
وأضاف عادل ان الجانب الاثيوبي عرض أيضاً مشروعاً ثانياً هو الشراكة في شركة النيل للبترول السودانية.
والمعروف ان شركة النيل للبترول لديها فرع في إثيوبيا ولها عدة محطات خدمة ومستودعات مؤ كداً ان عرضاً مكتوباً ستقدمه إثيوبيا حول هذه الشراكة قريباً.
وأضاف ان الاجتماع ناقش أيضاً مشروع توسيع ميناء بورتسودان لكي يسع عدداً من السفن وناقلات الغاز والبنزين
وقال وزير الطاقة ان الاجتماع ناقش أيضاً التعاون الفني بين السودان واثيوبيا في مجال التنقيب عن النفط والتطوير ومركز المعلومات والتدريب مضيفاً ان الاثيوبيين يثمنون ويقدرون تجربة السودان في مجال النفط .
وأكد وزير الطاقة ان إثيوبيا أبدت استعدادها لزيادة الطاقة الكهربائية المصدرة للسودان.
