For the first time since the demonstrations began, thousands of Sudanese protested to the army command and stormed President Bashir's guest house. As the security forces intervened to repel the demonstrators, the army refrained from being exposed to them and called on the police to move away from the area.
Hundreds of Sudanese demonstrators stormed the guest house of Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir in central Khartoum on Saturday (April 6, 2019) chanting "one army, one people".
Activists on social networking sites have seen videos showing hundreds of protesters entering the guesthouse next door to the Sudanese army's General Command buildings.
Thousands of demonstrators had managed to reach the headquarters of the Sudanese Army General Command in Khartoum and declare an open sit-in, after the army allowed them to take the step, especially after crossing the security barriers that were initially set up.
The organizers of the demonstrations chose April 6 to call for protests to commemorate the 1985 uprising that toppled President Jaafar al-Nimeiri. The Sudanese say the armed forces have stood by popular protests against tyrannical rulers and point to their uprising in 1985 against Jaafar al-Numeiri, who has long been in power.
Witnesses said Sudanese security forces fired teargas in an attempt to disperse thousands of protesters gathered at the residence of President Omar al-Bashir in Khartoum, in the largest rally since the start of protests demanding his departure.
Witnesses reported that a force of security and police threw demonstrators with tear gas canisters from the western side of the demonstration carried out by demonstrators today in front of the General Command building, in an attempt to disperse thousands of them, and said that the army intervened and worked on suppression
The effect of tear gas canisters, and called on the force to stay away from the area and not to be subjected to demonstrators there.
In Germany and Europe almost weekly demonstrations are being held for Sudanese and support and solidarity activities are taking place within the country. Today, dozens of Sudanese marched in the German capital of Berlin, chanting slogans and songs calling for change in Sudan and demanding the departure of Bashir, according to a video filmed by colleague Jaafar Abdulkarim of DW.
In December, regular protests against Bashir's 30-year rule began. Some protesters threw stones at the police, witnesses said, as dozens of riot police vehicles moved to the area to disperse the demonstrators. "There are crowds along sight," a Reuters witness at the scene said, adding that the demonstration was the biggest rally since the protests began on December 19.

للمرة الأولى منذ انطلاق المظاهرات احتج آلاف السودانيين أمام قيادة الجيش واقتحموا بيت الضيافة الخاص بالرئيس البشير، وفيما تدخلت قوات الأمن لصد المتظاهرين، أمتنع الجيش عن التعرض لهم وطالب الشرطة بالابتعاد عن المنطقة.
اقتحم مئات المتظاهرين السودانيين، اليوم السبت (6 أبريل/ نيسان 2019) بيت الضيافة الخاص بالرئيس السوداني عمر البشير وسط العاصمة الخرطوم، مرددين هتافات "جيش واحد شعب واحد".
وتداول نشطاء على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي فيديوهات تظهر دخول مئات المتظاهرين إلى داخل بيت الضيافة المجاور لمباني القيادة العامة للجيش السوداني.
وكان الآلآف من المتظاهرين قد نجحو في الوصول إلى مقر القيادة العامة للجيش السوداني في الخرطوم وإعلان اعتصام مفتوح أمامه، بعد أن سمح لهم الجيش بالخطوة، خاصة بعد تخطيهم الحواجز الأمنية التي وضعت في طريقهم في بادئ الأمر.
واختار منظمو التظاهرات تاريخ 6 أبريل/ نيسان للدعوة للاحتجاجات لإحياء ذكرى انتفاضة العام 1985 التي أطاحت بنظام الرئيس آنذاك جعفر النميري. ويقول السودانيون إن القوات المسلحة وقفت بجانب الاحتجاجات الشعبية التي اندلعت ضد الحكام المستبدين ويشيرون إلى انتفاضتهم عام 1985 ضد جعفر النميري الذي ظل لفترة طويلة في السلطة.
وقال شهود إن قوات الأمن السودانية أطلقت قنابل الغاز المسيل للدموع في محاولة لتفريق آلاف المتظاهرين الذين احتشدوا عند مقر إقامة الرئيس عمر البشير بالخرطوم، في أكبر حشد على ما يبدو منذ بدء الاحتجاجات المطالبة برحيله. 
ونقلت وكالة الأنباء الألمانية (د.ب.أ) عن شهود عيان أن قوة من الأمن والشرطة قذفت متظاهرين بعبوات الغاز المسيل للدموع من الناحية الغربية للاعتصام الذي نفذه متظاهرين اليوم أمام مبنى القيادة العامة، في محاولة لتفريق الآلآف منهم، وذكروا أن الجيش تدخل وعمل على إخماد 
مفعول عبوات الغاز المسيل للدموع، كما طالب تلك القوة بالابتعاد عن المنطقة وعدم  التعرض للمتظاهرين هناك. 
وفي ألمانيا وأوروبا تخرج أسبوعيا تقريبا مظاهرات محدودة لسودانيين وتقام فعاليات دعم وتضامن مع الحراك الشعبي داخل بلادهم. واليوم خرج عشرات السودانيين في العاصمة الألمانية برلين ورددوا الشعارات والأغاني التي تدعوا للتغيير في السودان وتطالب برحيل البشير، كما يوضح الفيديو الذي صوره الزميل جعفر عبدالكريم لـ DW.

وبدأت في ديسمبر كانون الأول احتجاجات منتظمة ضد حكم البشير المستمر منذ 30 عاما. وقام بعض المحتجين برمي الحجارة على عناصر الشرطة، وفق الشهود، فيما تحرّكت العشرات من آليات شرطة مكافحة الشغب إلى المنطقة من أجل تفريق المتظاهرين. وقال شاهد من رويترز في المكان "هناك حشود على امتداد البصر" مضيفا أن المظاهرة هي أكبر حشد على ما يبدو منذ بدء الاحتجاجات في 19 ديسمبر/ كانون الأول الماضي.
