أعلنت الولايات المتحدة، الاثنين، إطلاق مبادرة ترمي إلى تجفيف تمويل ميليشيات حزب الله اللبناني، وتقديم مكافآت مالية تصل قيمتها إلى 10 ملايين دولار لمن يدلي بمعلومات تفيد في تحقيق تلك الغاية.
وكشف مساعد وزير الخزانة لتمويل الإرهاب، مارشال بيلينغسليا، في مؤتمر صحفي عقد للإعلان عن المبادرة، أن قيمة المكافأة التي سيتم تقديمها تبلغ 10  ملايين دولار، لقاء أي معلومات تساهم في عرقلة تمويل شبكة ميليشيات حزب الله.

وتابع: ”يستعمل حزب الله تلك الأموال في أنشطة خبيثة ودعم ميليشيات في دول أخرى مثل سوريا والعراق واليمن، ومن هنا تأتي أهمية هذه المبادرة التي ستوقف كل تلك الممارسات غير المقبولة“.
وأشار إلى أن الحكومة الأميركية تريد قطع إمداد حزب الله المالي عبر الاستفادة من أي معلومة تساعد في ذلك، علما أن هذه المعلومات ستكون سرية، ويستطيع المقيمون خارج الولايات المتحدة أيضا تقديم معلوماتهم للسفارات والقنصليات الأميركية.
أما منسق مكافحة الإر.هاب في وزارة الخارجية الأميركية، ناثان سيلز، فأكد على أن المبادرة تستهدف إيران أيضا التي تعتنق الفكر الإرهابي بدعمها للعديد من الميليشيات في العالم ومنها حزب الله اللبناني. وأضاف أن ”تنخرط إيران في دعم المنظمات الإرهابية كوسيلة لبقائها، ومبادرة اليوم ضد ذراع إيران حزب الله مهمة جدا، نظرا لتورطه في أعمال غير شرعية عبر العالم“، وشدد على أن الولايات المتحدة ”لا تفرق بين الجناح السياسي والعسكري لحزب الله ونعتبره إرهابيا“.
وستدفع النقود لمن يدلي بمعلومات مثل أسماء المتبرعين لحزب الله ومموليه أو سجلات بنكية أو إيصالات جمارك أو دليل على تعاملات عقارية. وسيقدم المكافآت برنامج ”مكافآت العدالة“ الذي يمنح نقودا في العادة مقابل معلومات تؤدي إلى تحديد مواقع إرهابيين مطلوبين، وهذه هي المرة الأولى التي يستخدم فيها البرنامج لاستهداف شبكة مالية.
ومنذ بدايته عام 1984 ،قدم برنامج ”مكافآت العدالة“ ما يزيد على 150 مليون دولار لأكثر من 100 شخص قدموا معلومات عن إرهابيين أو منعوا وقوع هجمات إرهابية.
