أدى وزير الدفاع السوداني عوض محمد أحمد بن عوف أدى اليمين رئيسا للمجلس العسكري الانتقالي.
وحسب التلفزيون السوداني أدى رئيس المجلس العسكري عوض بن عوف القسم أمام رئيس القضاء السوداني.
وقال التلفزيون السوداني إن الفريق كمال عبد المعروف الماحي عين نائبا لرئيس المجلس العسكري الانتقالي.
وأعلن وزير الدفاع السوداني، عوض بن عوف، في وقت سابق من اليوم الخميس، الإطاحة بالرئيس السوداني، عمر حسن البشير، الذي اندلعت ضده مظاهرات امتدت لأربعة أشهر، تطالبه بالرحيل عن السلطة، على خلفية ارتفاع الأسعار وتراجع مستويات المعيشة، كما أعلن عن تشكيل مجلس عسكري انتقالي يتولى الحكم لعامين، وتعطيل الدستور الانتقالي لعام 2005، وإعلان الطوارئ لثلاثة أشهر وحظر التجول لمدة شهر من الساعة العاشرة مساء حتى الرابعة صباحا، وحل مجلس الوزراء وتكليف وكلاء الوزراء بتسيير الأعمال.
تجمع المهنيين السوداني يدعو لكسر حظر التجول
دعا تجمع المهنيين السوداني لكسر حظر التجول الذي أعلن عنه الجيش السوداني في وقت سابق اليوم.
وقال التجمع في بيان نشر على صفحته الرسمية على موقع التواصل الاجتماعي "تويتر": "النظام الفاسد والساقط فعلياً يتعلق بآخر قشة في ترسانته البائسة، يحاول خداعنا باستبدال سفاح بآخر أكثر دموية في مسرحية هزيلة الإخراج لوقف المد الثوري لشعبنا العظيم"
وأضاف البيان: "قد يتجرأ النظام المتساقط على اعتقال بعض الثوار لبعض الوقت، ولكن، ما لا طاقة له به هو  اعتقال شعب كامل وحظر حريته وتقييد حركته. النظام ضيف الباطل، وها هو يحدد لأهل الحق أين يروحون ومتى يغدون، عبر قانون حظر التجول. إن حرية هذا الشعب العظيم مما لا يمكن حظره ولا تقييده".
ووجه التجمع نداء للمواطنين قائلا: "فلنكسر حظر التجول ونضع الأمور في نصابها. ثورتكم مستمرة، في ساحاتكم التي اعتصمتم فيها، في بلدكم الذي اعتصمتم بحبله. وسنظل أوفياء لدماء الشهداء، نستكمل الطريق الذي افترعناه سوياً ثوارا أحرارا".
وأضاف البيان أن "أمام القيادة العامة لقوات شعبنا المسلحة، مع الإغلاق الكامل للكل الشوارع. نواصل الخروج في مواكب هادرة بقرى ومدن الأقاليم والاعتصام أمام مقار حاميات ووحدات قوات الشعب المسلحة، مع الإغلاق الكامل للشوارع والطرقات. لن ننصاع لمحاولات فرض حظر تجوال، نبقى سوياً في الشوارع، ونقاوم سلمياً. نفعل أداة الاضراب الشامل في كل قطاعات العمل العامة والخاصة وإغلاق كافة المحال التجارية. لن نتراجع شبراً حتى إسقاط النظام كاملاً، وتسليم السلطة لحكومة انتقالية مدنية وفقاً لما أقره إعلان الحرية والتغيير الذي تواثقت عليه جماهير شعبنا العظيم. لن نبرح الشوارع حتى تنفيذ العدالة الانتقالية قصاصاً لكل شهداء شعبنا واسترداد أموالنا المسلوبة من سارقي المال العام.
وناشد التجمع "ضباط وضباط صف وجنود قوات الشعب المسلحة الانحياز الكامل لخيار جماهير شعبنا والدفاع باستماتة وعدم الانصياع لأوامر طغمة كيزان الانقلاب الصوري الفاشل وعزلها".
