Trump and bin Salman discuss ways to deal with Iran's activities
President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discussed Iran's destabilizing activities in the region, a White House statement said Tuesday.

The statement added that Trump praised the leadership of Bin Salman in highlighting ways to improve the capabilities of the Gulf Cooperation Council to counter Iranian activities and defeat terrorists and extremists.
The two sides agreed on the importance of the unity of the Gulf Cooperation Council in easing regional threats and ensuring stability in the region's economy.
The US president also discussed in a telephone conversation with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed the issues of Iran and the war on terrorism, according to the statement.
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt cut ties with Qatar last June on charges of supporting terrorism, a charge Doha denies.

بحث الرئيس دونالد ترامب مع ولي العهد السعودي محمد بن سلمان في اتصال هاتفي أنشطة إيران المزعزعة للاستقرار في المنطقة، حسب بيان للبيت الأبيض الثلاثاء.

وأضاف البيان أن ترامب أثنى على قيادة بن سلمان في إبراز سبل تحسين قدرات دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي على التصدي للأنشطة الإيرانية وهزيمة الإرهابيين والمتطرفين.

واتفق الطرفان على أهمية وحدة مجلس التعاون الخليجي في تخفيف حدة التهديدات الإقليمية وضمان الاستقرار لاقتصاد المنطقة.

وبحث الرئيس الأميركي أيضا في اتصال هاتفي مع ولي عهد أبو ظبي الشيخ محمد بن زايد قضيتي إيران والحرب على الإرهاب، حسب البيان.

وقطعت السعودية والإمارات والبحرين ومصر علاقاتها مع قطر في حزيران/يونيو من الماضي بتهمة دعم الإرهاب وهو ما تنفيه الدوحة.
