Your participation in the "Arab Dialogue Center" is a support for a platform that serves Arab culture and its cultural content and seeks a better and more effective role for Arabs wherever it may be.

More than 23 years ago, the Center for Arab Dialogue was established in 1994 to be an Arab forum that combines thought and action, between cultural and political activities, and improving the thinking and performance of its participants, among the regular publications and symposia, and correcting the distorted image of the Arabs and their issues among non-Arabs

The existence of the "Dialogue Center" achieved and achieves the following objectives:

To contribute to activating and improving the Arab role in American society through:

        Building the intellectual, political and cultural knowledge, where "the lost thing does not give it."

        B - Practicing the method of serious dialogue and calm.

        C - Dialogue with American personalities and institutions through the Center's seminars or through the Internet.

        D) Employing the Dialogue Center and its activities and publications in support of the activities of Arab-American societies and institutions in general.

A deeper knowledge of the meaning of the common Arab cultural identity, and the correlation between Arabism and its cultural content, which includes Arabs with their different religious beliefs and national or ethnic origins.

Raising themes that emphasize the messages of heavenly messages in general values ​​and principles valid for all time and place, renounces violence and extremism and emphasizes the acquaintance between peoples and civilizations and cultures.

Better practice of dialogue according to rules and etiquette for dialogue and exchange of views.

The importance of the Arab Dialogue Center's experience and its many positive achievements has been confirmed through 1042 activities and seminars so far, including fields of thought, culture, politics, economics and Arab / American relations. ماذا يعني إشتراككم في "مركز الحوار العربي" ؟

إشتراككم في "مركز الحوار العربي" هو دعم لمنبر يخدم الثقافة العربية ومضمونها الحضاري، ويسعى نحو دور أفضل وأفعل للعرب أينما كان.

أكثر من 23 سنة مضت على تأسيس "مركز الحوار العربي" في العام 1994 ليكون منتدىً عربياً يجمع بين الفكر والعمل، بين الأنشطة الثقافية والسياسية وبين تحسين الفكر والأداء لدى المتفاعلين معه، بين النشرات والندوات الدورية وبين تصحيح الصورة المشوّهة عن العرب وعن قضاياهم لدى غير العرب

ان وجود "مركز الحوار" حقق ويحقق الأهداف التالية:

• المساهمة في تفعيل وتحسين الدور العربي في المجتمع الأميركي من خلال:

        أـ _ بناء المعرفة الفكرية والسياسية والثقافية، حيث "أن فاقد الشيء لا يعطيه".

        بـ ـ _ التدرب على أسلوب التحاور الجاد والهادئ.

        جــ _ الحوار مع شخصيات ومؤسسات أميركية من خلال ندوات المركز أو عبر شبكة الأنترنت.

        د_  توظيف "مركز الحوار" وأنشطته ومنشوراته لصالح دعم أنشطة الجمعيات والمؤسسات العربية - الأميركية عموماً.

• معرفة أعمق لمعنى الهوية الثقافية العربية المشتركة، وللتلازم بين العروبة ومضمونها الحضاري، هذه الهُوية التي تشمل العرب بمختلف عقائدهم الدينية وأصولهم الوطنية أو الإثنية.
• إثارة مواضيع تؤكد على ما جاءت به الرسالات السماوية عموماً من قيم ومبادئ صالحة لكل زمان ومكان، تنبذ العنف والتطرف وتؤكد على التعارف بين الشعوب والحضارات والثقافات.
• ممارسة أفضل لأسلوب الحوار وفق قواعد وآداب للتحاور ولتبادل الآراء.
• إبراز طاقات وكفاءات عربية، اكاديمية وإعلامية ومهنية، وتوظيف منبر "الحوار" الدوري ونشرات "الحوار" على الأنترنت، للتعريف بهذه النخبة الهامة من العرب وبأعمالها وأفكارها.
• الإسهام في خدمة القضايا العربية المشتركة، وفي مقدمتها القضية الفلسطينية، داخل المجتمع الأميركي والغرب عموماً من خلال النشرات الدورية عبر الأنترنت.
• تحقيق التفاعل الإجتماعي بين رواد المركز وما لذلك من فوائد شخصية ومهنية تنعكس إيجاباً على العلاقات والأعمال الشخصية.

وقد تأكدت أهمية تجربة "مركز الحوار العربي" وإيجابياتها العديدة من خلال أنشطة وندوات بلغ عددها 1042 ندوة حتى الآن، شملت ميادين الفكر والثقافة والسياسة والإقتصاد والعلاقات العربية/الأميركية.(راجع لائحة الندوات على هذا الرابط: http://www.alhewar.com/oldevents.html)

إنّ تجربة "الحوار" تعتمد في ميزانيتها منذ تأسيسها قبل 23 سنة على الإشتراكات المالية السنوية، وهذه الإشتراكات هي غالباً محدودة العدد وقليلة القيمة المادية، ولا تتناسب مع حجم التأثير الإيجابي الذي تحدثه هذه التجربة على مر السنين، كما لا توفر المدخول اللازم للحد الأدنى من المصاريف المتوجبة.

إن "مركز الحوار العربي" حقق ويحقق الكثير من الفوائد العامة لكل من يتفاعل معه، وللجالية العربية بشكل عام، لكن أنشطته ومنشوراته تحتاج إلى مواصلة دعم المركز وتوسيع دائرة المشتركين فيه  ..
