وفي ردها على سؤال عن احتمال اقتناء بغداد منظومات "إس-400" الروسية للدفاع الجوي، أكدت الناطقة باسم الخارجية الأمريكية، هيذر نويرت، أن الولايات المتحدة تتحادث مع دول كثيرة، ومنها العراق، لتشرح مغزى القانون المذكور والتبعات الممكنة لعقد هذه الدول صفقات دفاعية مع روسيا.
