هل قضية المعلمين صارت كالاحاجي العتيقة فقد انتخب الاتحاد الجديد في كافة الولايات بطريقة اقل ما يقال عنها انها تمكين لسياسة الفساد وتجاوز لكافة المبادىء الاخلاقية هاهم معلمي مدينة كوستي يرفعون صوتهم برفض العمل المعيب لانتخابات زائفة غير شافة استخدمت فيها كافة اساليب الفساد المعيبة:

استنكر عدد من المعلمين بمرحلة الأساس بكوستي ما أسموه بمهزلة إتحاد المعلمين ،ووصفوه بأنه أصبح بيئة صالحة لتفريخ الإنتهازيين . وأوضح أحد المعلمين بكوستي أن عملية إختيار أعضاء الإتحاد تمت في ثلاثة مواقع في المدينة معظمها لم تكن معلومة للمعلمين. وفي ذات السياق قال عدد من معلمي المرحلة الثانوية بالمدينة (إنَّ إتحادات المعلمين أصبحت عبارة عن مصادر لتراكم الثروات في أيدي قلة من المحسوبين على حزب المؤتمر الوطني. إضافة إلى فرض الرسوم الباهظة على الطلاب). وطالبوا بإتحادات مهنية تضع الأولوية للعملية التربوية ومصالح الطلاب.
