WhatsUp added a new feature that allows anyone to make voice calls or group video calls.
As of July 31, 2018, voice calls and video calls can be made for 4 people at a time, while the company assures that all calls are fully encrypted, as is the case with text messages sent through the application.
The new update is available on both Android and iOS, and if you do not see it right away, do not worry, updates may take several days at times to reach all users.
Facebook's Watts AG seems to have made the change because non-text conversations have proven to be very popular among users through the application.
"Over the past two years, people have been enjoying voice calls and video calls on WattsApp. In fact, our users spend more than 2 million minutes per day, and now we're happy Announce that the audio and video conference calls reach Watts August starting today. "
Users only need to start a voice call or a video call and press the new "add participant" button, which is located in the upper-left corner of the application, through which anyone can be selected from within the contact list to subscribe to the call.
