UAE denies Houthi attack on Abu Dhabi airport
The United Arab Emirates on Thursday denied reports that pro-Iranian Houthis in Yemen attacked Abu Dhabi International Airport with a marching plane.A UAE official who did not reveal his identity told Reuters that the operations at Abu Dhabi airport were proceeding normally.
A Houthi television channel reported targeting the airport with a marlin aircraft.
Abu Dhabi International Airport authorities said on Thursday that an accident at the airport was caused by a vehicle to transport supplies.
Abu Dhabi airport explained that the incident, which was not disclosed in detail, "did not affect the functioning of operations of the airport or schedule flights."
The Houthi TV in Yemen later said the Houthi air force had "launched several raids at Abu Dhabi International Airport" with a marlin aircraft.
It is not yet clear what the Houthi media reported or its connection to the incident revealed by the UAE airport.
