Cyprofloxacin and other quinolone preparations are listed in the list of serious properties due to side effects on the body, especially the cardiovascular system.

The results showed that the drug had a very negative effect on diseased mice, with 79% having diarrhea, 67% rupture of the aorta, and 15% death.
The researchers concluded that taking the antibiotic ciprofloxacin is a serious risk to the heart and blood vessels, and also disrupts the cellular processes, especially in the connective tissue, including inflammation and torn tendons and retinal detachment.
