Geological Research Commission: We detected a quake in the Red Sea
The General Authority for Geological Research (GOSI), the technical arm of the Ministry of Minerals, announced the monitoring of an earthquake deep in the Red Sea and 160 kilometers from the port of Sudan on Saturday morning, which was monitored by the seismic stations of the Authority in all of Mohammed Gul, "An earthquake shook the Red Sea at 7 am on Saturday. The Director General of the General Authority for Geological Research Mohammad Abu-Fatima Abdullah said in a press statement that the tremor hit a magnitude of 4.3 on the Richter scale, which occurred at 7 am deep in the Red Sea. He attributed the quake to the geological structure extending from West Africa to the north-eastern Sudan, which intersects with the Red Sea, West and South Stole.
