A Lebanese report: The Syrian leadership is committed to the "disengagement" agreement on the Golan Heights
The arrival of dozens of displaced Syrians to the Israeli border in the Golan Heights and the Israeli army appeals to them to return to their ranks .. Lebanese News Newspaper: Syrian leadership took a decision to return to the 1974 agreement and respect
Israeli media on Tuesday carried pictures of hundreds of displaced Syrians approaching the border fence with Israel on the Golan Heights, and raised them with white cloth. The Israeli army appealed to them in Arabic to stay away from the border and return to their camps, pledging to look for ways to help them.
The Israeli sites quoted by the agency "Reuters" that the reason for the arrival of displaced to the border with Israel is not clear, likely that the reason is the escape of those following the bombing of the Syrian army positions in Quneitra in preparation for the army invasion of the region. The Israeli army confirmed that none of the Syrians had tried to penetrate the security fence and that the displaced had returned to their camps.
In a related matter, the Lebanese daily Al Akhbar reported Tuesday quoting Syrian sources as saying that the Syrian leadership had decided to return to the "disengagement" agreement signed between Israel and Syria since 1974. According to a newspaper close to Hezbollah, Assad's priorities in the current is the advance of the Syrian army in southern Syria and the suppression of the rebels there.
The news said that the Syrian army "the transfer of troops and heavy weapons from the points of violation, to the background points to comply with the agreement" in evidence that he is fully committed to the Convention. The news added that the Syrian leadership does not want to give Israel a chance to block progress on the battlefield in the south, so it is disciplined and committed to the Convention, which called on Israel to respect or otherwise there will be calm between the two countries in the zone of separation of weapons.
