The Ministry of Information, on its official website on Twitter, referred the Saudi media to the investigation after the publication of a video of it, which reports on the leadership of women, wearing "indecent" clothes, causing widespread debate among the pioneers of social networking sites.
The ministry confirmed that "Shirin violated the regulations and instructions of the Authority to appear in clothing indecent .. It will be held accountable for that."
Shirin appeared in a dress-up video showing an open white cloak revealing part of her clothes and body, as well as a part of her hair that is unusual for Saudi women known for their tight clothes.
Her appearance in television coverage for Al-Now television about the decision to allow women to drive has generated widespread debate and criticism in social networking sites in Saudi Arabia amid a split between those who regard clothing as personal freedom and those who see it as a violation of Saudi customs and traditions.
