The results of a study conducted by scientists at Brigham Young University of America, bad habits of humans, negatively affect the length of their ages.
The study, conducted under the direction of Dr. Julian Holt-Lunstad, has shown that personal isolation and total immersion in the virtual world are the most negative habits in human life.
Scientists have confirmed that the absence of social relationships with other people undermines human health as much as smoking 15 cigarettes a day.
The effect of continuous smoking is equivalent to the negative impact of chronic lack of sleep, because it causes increased stroke and cardiovascular disease.
It is bad habits that reduce human life, staying in the position of sitting for hours. Prolonged sitting in front of a computer has many health risks, such as the risk of developing cardiovascular disease and colon cancer. Exercise in the gymnasium will not work if you stay in the office for long hours during the day.
It is also dangerous practice to over-exposure to the sun to get brown skin. According to scientists, skin cancer resulting from exposure to ultraviolet radiation is more common than lung cancer due to smoking.
But the most dangerous habits that adversely affect human health, are eating fast food and processed foods, rich in sugar and fat.
"In the present circumstances, the risk of eating these foods and beverages is higher than the risk of alcohol and smoking," the authors conclude.
