North Korean leader asks for a second meeting with Trump
President Donald Trump has received a "very cordial" and "very positive" message from North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, expressing his desire to hold a "new meeting" with the US president, the White House said Monday.
"We are open and we have already started the coordination work" to hold this summit, which will be the second after the first historic meeting between the two, held on June 12 in Singapore, said US presidential spokeswoman Sarah Sanders.
Sanders said progress was being made, saying that the non-involvement of intercontinental ballistic missiles in Pyongyang's latest North Korean military parade was a "goodwill gesture" in the process of denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula.
