MOSCOW: Israel is misguided
MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major-General Igor Konashnikov accused Tel Aviv of misled Moscow over its fighters' air strikes, describing Israel's behavior as "untenable" to what Russia did to Israel.
"The representative of the General Staff of the Israeli Air Force told the Russian side during the negotiations through the communication channel to prevent a military clash in the air that the targets that were planned to hit during the flight of the Israeli aircraft are in the North of Syria, which was made in Russian, where the Russian Ministry of Defense has a voice recording of this connection.
"The Israeli air force has not launched its raids in the northern regions of the Syrian Arab Republic, but in the Latakia countryside, which is a western Syrian province," he said.
He continued: "The misleading by the Israeli officer on the area of raids by Israeli fighters did not give the Russian aircraft" El-20 "opportunity to go to a safe area."
The Major General noted that it is difficult to understand why Tel Aviv has taken such actions, stressing that "it has become a completely unique response to all that the Russian Federation has done for the Israeli state and the Israelis recently."
He stressed that "the aggressive actions of the Israeli air force against the Russian aircraft" El-20 "out of the framework of civilizational relations," expressing his belief that "the Israeli leadership either does not appreciate the level of relations with Russia or does not control some leaders and leaders who were aware that their work has Lead to disaster ".
