The martyr Dean of the pilot Mohammed Osman Hamid Karar
The martyr was born in Halaib in 1945 and his father is a sheikh of the Labja tribes. Educated
In Port Sudan and graduated from Port Sudan High School.
· Married with three sons and two daughters and his eldest son Ahmed Karar.
He joined the Sudanese Military College in 1965 and was sent to the Royal Air Force College in the same year as a lieutenant colonel in 1967.
· He was sent to the Soviet Union in 1969 and returned as a helicopter commander (MI).
· He received a helicopter flight study in Federal Germany and also in Italy and qualified as an aviation instructor.
· Obtained the certificate of staff from the College of Iraq 1979.
· Worked as a commander of the helicopter squadron and then commander of an air base.
· He is considered one of the most distinguished trainers of aviation in the Sudanese air force.
• Champion of the Sudanese Armed Forces and the first Sudanese officer to be awarded the First Class Courage Medal for his rare courage in operations (1970-1971) and (1981-1987). He managed to rescue three planes with anti-aircraft fire and return them safely to their bases.
· He led the aerial formation involved in the rescue of foreign hostages in the famous Mount Puma in July 1983.
· Leaving military service after being chosen by the democratic government as governor of the Eastern Province in 1986, he continued to train helicopter pilots and patrolled the province during training.
He played a decisive role in forcing the supreme leadership to be aligned with the people by mobilizing its officers and soldiers, arming its planes and announcing its decision to shoot down the aircraft of former President Jaafar Nimeiri Fur. The Sudanese airspace entered it on the night of 5/6 April 1985.
· He was able to carry out his mission successfully on the night of 24 April 1990 by occupying the Khartoum air base and securing Khartoum airport. He refused to surrender and asked the armored commanders to fight to the end when he was captured at Khartoum Airport Tower on the morning of April 24th.
· At 8:00 am, Col. Mohammed Al-Amin Al-Khalifa, stabbed by the gun of the gun, called on the armored vehicles not to surrender.
· The shadow of the martyr bleeding without any attempt to heal his wound or transferred to the hospital until the moment of execution before dawn on 25 April 1990.

ولد الشهيد في حلايب في عام 1945 ووالده أحد مشائخ قبائل لابجا . تلقى تعليمه
بمدارس بورتسودان وتخرج في مدرسة بورتسودان الثانوية .
· · متزوج وله 3 أبناء وبنتان وابنه البكر احمد كرار .
· · التحق بالكلية الحربية السودنية في عام 1965 واوفد في نفس العام إلى كلية الطيران الملكية البريطانية والتي تخرج فيها كطيار برتبة الملازم في عام 1967.
· · أوفد إلى التحاد السوفياتي في عام 1969 وعاد كقائد لطائرات الهيلوكوبتر (مي .
· · تلقى دراسة طيران هليوكوبتر مقاتلة في المانيا الاتحادية وايضا في ايطاليا و تأهل كمعلم طيران .
· · تحصل على شهادة الاركان من كلية العراقية 1979 .
· · عمل كقائد لسرب الهيلوكوبتر ثم قائدا لقاعدة جوية .
· · يعتبر من أميز مدربي الطيران في القوات الجوية السودانية .
· · بطل للقوات المسلحة السودانية واول ضابط سوداني يحصل على وسام ا لشجاعة من الطبقة الاولى مرتين وذلك لشجاعته النادرة في العمليات (1970-1971) و(1981-1987) وقد تمكن من انقاذ ثلاث طائرات مصابة بنيران المضادات الارضية وعودته بالطائرات إلى قواعدها سالمة .
· · قاد التشكيل الجوي الذي اشترك في عملية انقاذ الرهائن الاجانب في جبل بوما الشهيرة في يوليو 1983.
· · ترك الخدمة العسكرية بعد أن اختارته الحكومة الديمقراطية حاكما للاقليم الشرقي في عام 1986 ، ورغم ذلك فقد استمر في تدريب طياري الهيليوكوبتر وكان يطوف الاقليم اثناء التدريب .
· · عضو فاعل ونشط في تنظيم (الضباط الاحرار) الذي عمل على اسقاط الدكتاتورية المايوية (69-85) وقد لعب دورا حاسما في اجبار القيادة العليا على الانحياز لجانب الشعب وذلك بتعبئته لضباطه وجنوده وقيامه بتسليح طائراته واعلانه قراره باسقاط طائرة الرئيس السابق جعفر نميري فور دخولها الاجواء السودانية وذلك في ليلة 5/6 أبريل 1985.
· · تمكن من تنفيذ واجبه بنجاح في ليلة 24 ابريل 1990 باحتلاله لقاعدة الخرطوم الجوية وتأمين مطار الخرطوم ورفض الاستسلام وطلب من قادة المدرعات القتال حتى النهاية وذلك حينما اسر في برج مطار الخرطوم صباح 24 أبريل .
· · وفي الساعة الثامنة صباحا طعنه العقيد محمد الامين الخليفة بحربة البندقية (السونكي) وهو يطالب المدرعات بعدم الاستسلام .
· · ظل الشهيد ينزف بدون أي محاولة لتضميد جرحه أو نقله إلى المستشفى حتى لحظة اعدامه قبل فجر يوم 25 أبريل 1990.
