Later in the day I met the United States of America Commander of Africa Forces, General David Rodriguez.
We discussed issues pertaining to the Somalia region. The views I shared in the meeting were that;
One,Discrimination over clans is wrong. In modern times, prosperity comes through cooperation therefore there is need to have trade as a prerequisite to prosperity.

Two, there is need to address the youth of Somalia in patriotism and Pan-Africanism, the Somali youth in Uganda and in the US need to be sensitised over the dangers of sectarianism premised on clans.
I informed the American delegation that Uganda also suffered in the past due to sectarianism.
I used this occasion to thank the US for the help they have extended through the Centre for Disease Control to Uganda in the control of Ebola
