Eritrea is officially ready for lasting peace with Ethiopia
President Isaias says Eritrea will send a delegation to Addis Ababa
In his first official statement to the Eritrean government on the Ethiopian initiative to accept the border demarcation, President Isaias Afwerki said in his speech on the occasion of the Martyrs' Day, which falls on June 20, that acceptance of the border demarcation by Ethiopia is an expression of the popular will to change Ethiopia. Which has been against him in the past two decades. He said that Eritrea, expressing its desire to live the two peoples in peace, would send a delegation to Addis Ababa to discuss the draft joint work in this regard.
In an interview with Radio Irina by diplomatic observers, one expert said that the move proved that joint talks between the two countries had already taken place because the Eritrean decision was a surprise, indicating that there had been contacts with Ethiopia, as indicated by the Ethiopian Prime Minister in his address to the Ethiopian Parliament Two days ago
