مسؤول كردي: قوات جديدة للتحالف تصل إلى محيط الرقة

كشف عضو المجلس العسكري لقوات سورية الديموقراطية شرفان درويش السبت لـ"راديو سوا" عن وصول قوات برية من دول التحالف الدولي الذي تقوده الولايات المتحدة إلى محيط مدينة الرقة السورية إلى جانب القوات الأميركية.
وتوقع درويش أن تبدأ العملية العسكرية لاستعادة المدينة قريبا، وأردف قائلا: "الصورة بشكل عام ووقائع الأرض تشير إلى أن المعركة قد تبدأ في غضون أيام"، مستبعدا أي مشاركة للقوات السورية النظامية أو القوات التركية في تحرير الرقة.

ويتطابق تصريح درويش مع تصريحات لوزير الدفاع الفرنسي جان إيف لودريان رجح فيها الجمعة انطلاق عملية استعادة الرقة "في الأيام المقبلة".
"إحكام الطوق على الرقة"
من جهة أخرى، قال المسؤول الكردي إن قوات سورية الديموقراطية المؤلفة من فصائل كردية وعربية تقاتل داعش في سورية، أحكمت الطوق بريا على محافظة الرقة بانتظار إغلاق الممر المائي الأخير على التنظيم عبر نهر الفرات.
وأكد أن القوات باتت على بعد ستة كيلومترات من مطار المدينة التي تعد معقل التنظيم في البلاد.
